Following the Rajah's Palace, just wanted to add my recently acquired Residency, inspired by Lucknow and scratch built by Andrew at Colonial Steamboat Company. Planning to add a few more details and groundwork but it's 99% done. Well worth waiting for.
Several of the sections are interchangeable, with either undamaged or 'shot-torn' sections (as here)
Now I just have to get those lovely Iron Duke figures painted, to go with the Mutineer Miniatures ones here, and actually make the time for a game!
Apologies for the poor photos but bit of a rush job.

Absolutely stunning!
If I may ask, do the roofs come off?

Excellent! Love it :-* :-* :-* :-*

Yes, the roofs come off each of the buildings in the compound. Andrew then very cleverly designed the main building in several sections above the ground floor level, so various parts could be exchanged for damaged sections (the rationale being that the surrounding walls and buildings would shield the ground floor from incoming artillery fire). So, as well as the 3 flat roof sections being removable, the whole top floor level of the centre section comes off, as do the covered balconies on either side of the portico, and also the 'bay window' on the right hand side, all allowing easy access to the interior.
Still got to make 2 versions (undamaged and damaged) of the memsahib's garden at the back of the Main building and I think I need some piled up barricades to properly block the 2 gateways at the front and rear. Also considering a striped awning for the portico balcony for a bit of added colour, as these appear on several pre-siege images of the Lucknow Residency.

Couple of images of the original inspiration - the Lucknow Residency occupied a large area, so it was a question of condensing some key features into a manageable size (the different components were specifically designed to fit into 2 'really useful' storage boxes - 28mm scenery being a real PITA to store) while still keeping the essence of the period.
Andrew's also done an Indian market square for me, based on the Ian Weekley model; next step, the walls of Delhi and the Kashmir Gate!

That is most lovely :)

Beautiful! And sounds like once you're done you'll have enough buildings to refight the Mutiny from start to finish!
-
Stunning work, love the pock marked walls. Now, are you going to add a billiard table - sans its green covering? And a chap dressed in said covering after a little bit of seamstressing? Seems only appropriate.

Fifteens Away, excellent idea! Watch this space...
Mad Guru: have you seen my reply on the Victorian Wars forum regarding General Baker? I've found your man :-)

sjwalker51: Thanks for the info - that's a truly amazing piece! Hopefully we'll come to see many a picture of it as the centrepiece of epic actions...

Excellent building.
A center piece for any battle.
