When I saw this.......
I knew instantly what to do with it......
Since I produce the "sets" for the Wheels, Weapons, and Detail items......
it was a pretty "straight forward" project.
Having a Plastic Body worked well for my needs :)
it started out like this:
(http://i1060.photobucket.com/albums/t455/lnerj72a/Diecast%20Mods/HW%20Land%20Crusher/DSC00230_zpsohgnf8yy.jpg) (http://s1060.photobucket.com/user/lnerj72a/media/Diecast%20Mods/HW%20Land%20Crusher/DSC00230_zpsohgnf8yy.jpg.html)
Here is the "End Result"
(more pic's at the end of the post)
(http://i1060.photobucket.com/albums/t455/lnerj72a/Diecast%20Mods/HW%20Land%20Crusher/DSC00468_zpsgj82vqg8.jpg) (http://s1060.photobucket.com/user/lnerj72a/media/Diecast%20Mods/HW%20Land%20Crusher/DSC00468_zpsgj82vqg8.jpg.html)
First I drilled out the rivets, and changed the wheels......
but the whels are "larger" than the originals.......
so this required changing the location

I then began adding bits here and there .......
and cut a hole in the roof for the weapons station

after the cutting and adding the bits.......
this is how it looked.

Please tell me what you think........
this is the first of my posts for these vehicles.
I will also post links to my wheels, weapons and parts

That looks great to me. The twin .50cals are a nice touch.
-
It has a really good military vibe, the guns and wheeled bits look really good on it - its how Hot Wheels should have done it ;)
Cheers

That's a very nice model
Why do you stripe off the original paint before painting it?
In this scale, if you paint over the original paint, the difference is not appreciated, specially after giving it the weathered and rusty effect.
In my opinion, I think that stripping off the paint is a very significative additional effort for each model which has a very little impact in the final result.
Don't forget to post the links to your parts, these pieces are impressive and fits very well with the models. 8)

Many Thanks.......
the twin .50s are part of a Gun Set I sell for die-cast cars.

Well personally,
this one being of a Plastic Body..... stripping the paint is not so much an issue......
most of the paint came off where I needed when I sanded on the places to be modified.
but the Main reason I strip the paint,
is that on some of the die-casts.........
the paint is so thick that it softens some of the details........
classic example s the HW Sting Rod.....
paint was so thick that I could barely see the rivets.

I have been asked about links for my Parts.......
they can be seen here
