When I saw this.......
I knew instantly I'd have to think this one through as to what to do with it......
Since I produce the "sets" for the Wheels, Weapons, and Detail items......
it was a pretty "straight forward" project.
Having a Metal Body created a few issues for my needs Smiley
Well first Matchbox did a 3D Print before going into production.
there are detail on this that I wish were on the final version

here is what " I " started with
(http://i1060.photobucket.com/albums/t455/lnerj72a/Diecast%20Mods/MB%20Roar%20by%20Four/DSC00386_zpsxh2vl4ds.jpg) (http://s1060.photobucket.com/user/lnerj72a/media/Diecast%20Mods/MB%20Roar%20by%20Four/DSC00386_zpsxh2vl4ds.jpg.html)
(http://i1060.photobucket.com/albums/t455/lnerj72a/Diecast%20Mods/MB%20Roar%20by%20Four/DSC00387_zpsiyrw5za0.jpg) (http://s1060.photobucket.com/user/lnerj72a/media/Diecast%20Mods/MB%20Roar%20by%20Four/DSC00387_zpsiyrw5za0.jpg.html)
(http://i1060.photobucket.com/albums/t455/lnerj72a/Diecast%20Mods/MB%20Roar%20by%20Four/DSC00390_zps5z186qoe.jpg) (http://s1060.photobucket.com/user/lnerj72a/media/Diecast%20Mods/MB%20Roar%20by%20Four/DSC00390_zps5z186qoe.jpg.html)
here is the end result
(http://i1060.photobucket.com/albums/t455/lnerj72a/Diecast%20Mods/MB%20Roar%20by%20Four/DSC00451%20-1_zpsf5tsegm3.jpg) (http://s1060.photobucket.com/user/lnerj72a/media/Diecast%20Mods/MB%20Roar%20by%20Four/DSC00451%20-1_zpsf5tsegm3.jpg.html)
First thing I did was to drill out the rivets,
then ......strip the paint, change out the tires, and added the guns.
(http://i1060.photobucket.com/albums/t455/lnerj72a/Diecast%20Mods/MB%20Roar%20by%20Four/Wheel%20set-%2052_zpsjf8uv58y.jpg) (http://s1060.photobucket.com/user/lnerj72a/media/Diecast%20Mods/MB%20Roar%20by%20Four/Wheel%20set-%2052_zpsjf8uv58y.jpg.html)
I then took my Floor Plates and cut them up to make "expedient" armor

(http://i1060.photobucket.com/albums/t455/lnerj72a/Diecast%20Mods/MB%20Roar%20by%20Four/DSC00398_zpshfsf2fyi.jpg) (http://s1060.photobucket.com/user/lnerj72a/media/Diecast%20Mods/MB%20Roar%20by%20Four/DSC00398_zpshfsf2fyi.jpg.html)
I thought that the front looked good on the diecast I found it on.....
so I cut it off and molded it for casting......
and added it here
(http://i1060.photobucket.com/albums/t455/lnerj72a/Diecast%20Mods/MB%20Roar%20by%20Four/DSC00396_zps1rbgyxmd.jpg) (http://s1060.photobucket.com/user/lnerj72a/media/Diecast%20Mods/MB%20Roar%20by%20Four/DSC00396_zps1rbgyxmd.jpg.html)
this is how it looked all assembled

Please tell me what you think........
this is the third of my posts for these vehicles.
I will also post links to my wheels, weapons and parts

I think you did a grand job on the conversion, particularly like the added armour.

Many Thanks.......
I am putting together a Detail Set that will include a few pieces that can be cut to shape and glued to cars.

Thanks.... Glad you think so :)

Firstly bloody nice work. It has a mad max meets future warfare vibe that is new and very interesting. You seem to have an excellent talent for sticking bits on in such a way as to make them seem organic to the vehicle as well.
on the slightly negative side I would have put all 4 cars into one post so folk like me could have enjoyed them all at once.
But that aside, really really nice work and a great take on autogeddon.
Many Thanks......
the only trouble with puting all the vehicles in one post.......
for each post.... you are only allowed "X" (number) of pictures.
-
Make a matchbox conversion thread, and then post a "before picture", "in progress" and "after" shot. If you have a bunch of juicy photos like you seem to, maybe post a link for "more on the blog/flicker". Thats one way of streamlining it.
Or do a few posts, one for each car :D Maybe spacing them out over time so we can comment/interact as you go :D
Personally, I haven't commented on each thread, but made comments on a few of your threads.
Cheers
Matt
