Hi everyone,
As some of you may recall, my historical-fantasy skirmish game, Broken Legions, is being released by Osprey Wargames next year. Well, the alpha testing is done, the draft is ready for beta testing, and I have a few places left on my playtest crew for some plucky souls.
So, if you're interested in Romans vs Barbarians vs Monsters (and variation thereof), and can commit to playing a few games in the next couple of weeks, drop me a PM and we'll go from there.
Many thanks,
Mark

PM has been sent.
Romanes et monsters Eunt Domus!

Alright you fine fellows: the call for playtesters is closed, many thanks for a fantastic response (you know who you are). Grant: you're the last one, so expect a PM soon :)
My best,
Mark

Shame I saw this too late, please do update with any info, i've always wanted to collect ancients but have been out off by the huge numbers of miniatures normally required, a skirmish game sounds ideal, look forward to some clash of the titans style shenanigans.

Yeah, me too! Miffed I missed this, but excited to see what you come up with. In the meantime I'd recommend 7th Voyage for the kind of gaming you're looking for, Kommando_J. BL looks like it'll be doing something different though, but both seem like they'd work for the sorts of classic stop-motion ancient monster mash in CotT and its ilk.

I'm very eager to see the final product... It would be great from some Gloranthan runquest skirmishing ...
-
It's a very exciting idea, and so far having read the book, I'm very interested in the final too. I'm not how much in the way of details I can release... but Mark has a great game on the go here.

Dang. Do tell us some spoilers if you're able to, Mark, please. I guess if not I'll just have to rebuild the hype machine for myself closer to release, but then that won't be much of a problem I expect.

Very much agree - reading the rules they read very nicely indeed and the options in the warbands are excellent.

Really looking forward to this, I've been put off the by the large numbers normally required for ancient stuff too but this looks ideal. And the fantasy aspect is an added bonus!

Yeah...this is a big draw for me, too. A chance to play Cato and Macro or Marcus Flavius Aquila and Esca...with myths and sorcery thrown in!

Nice warband! I wish I had seen this earlier and could have gotten in on the playtest. Looks like a nice ruleset is shaping up.

Now that little force looks fantastic! Any options for Mycenaean Greek/ Trojans? Would be great with a Minotaur?..
Looking forward to seeing more.

This seems immensely cool. The kind of thing I'd go for immediately.
