Wooden building scratch built 28mm

Got abit bored this week, saw i had a load of lollypop sticks so i thought i would build a wooden building.

That's excellent. Great choice of colour for the wood, very realistic.

There's an awful lot of calories in that building! Nicely done. If I had one criticism it would be the roof which doesn't look very weatherproof. Single long planks, often dagged at the ends are popular in N Russia, or overlapping planks or shingles. Shingles in particular can provide some lovely effects. John Howe derived much of the design for Laketown in the Hobbit films from a study of Russian and East European traditional timber architecture. Abandoned Russian churches are inspirational when it comes to timber designs... Parts of Srinagar in Kashmir has/had a rich timber building tradition well worth a look.

The choice of wood colour and the setting is great though. Altogether very evocative!
