Hi I posted some pics of figures for my Ardennes project earlier in the year and I have gone back to the project and fully completed it ready for this Christmas, hope you like them.
Created to play Chain of Command on :-)
Cheers AL

Absolutely beautiful. Great start to my day.

That's fabulous! The deciduous trees are especially good.
-
Splendid, I like very good job :o
-
Smashing as always Al.
-
Superb! :-*
-
That is a fantastic gaming table, nicely done! :o :-*
-
Stunning table!!! :o :-*
I am jealous... ;)

Lovely stuff.

That is brilliant
-
Brrrrrr: chilly! Extremely well done 8) 8) 8)
-
Proper.
Very well done.
-
Really beautiful :o An inspiration.
Are the houses/ruin/church scratch-built or from a manufacture?
-
Truly beautiful set up.
-
Excellent, reminds me of the lake district on a frosty winters morning (apart from the houses that is) :)
cheers

Great work Al have you changed scales?
-
Oh wow that's just........oh wow!! :-*
-
Superb as always
-
Great! Strong Band of Brothers vibes.
-
Wow stunning work it all fits beautifully
Where are the trees from or how did you make them? In particular the ones on the graveyard?
-
Great work Al have you changed scales?
Only for this ;-)
-
Wow I completely missed this! Incredible! And comes in very handy as I am also working on an Ardennes project!
I wish I could afford these houses...
-
Really awesome table. Everything you would expect in superb way done.
Planning a quite similar setup but for Pomerania. :)
-
outstanding table
-
Awesome work. :o
-
Snow without Frostgrave?? lol
Your Table is :o. Perfect work, I would say.
-
That is a beautiful table!
-
Love it all! :-*
Very inspiring and, at the same time, disheartening for my own Ardennes project lol
Great to notice all the small details, like the icicles etc, they do enhance the feel a great deal.
The river and the road network are static? All the rest can be moved around for different set-up?
Any chance for more pics with close-ups? Any special snow recipe to share with us?
I remember you posting some of the vehicles seen earlier, it made me also get everything in 1:48 rather than 1:56 :) Did you stay on that path? Oh, and tips about the whitewashing tanks?
-
I think its all modular even the river. Which impresses me even more. While there are some gaps if you look closer, the overall apperance lets you forget about it. Can look at it all day :D
-
Amazing, just amazing
-
Incredible certainly one of the best looking tables I have seen. Captures winter war perfectly.
-
Really well done, a proper work of art. Thank you for posting. Genuinely inspirational.
-
Stunning! Well done sir! :o
-

Hi Mac
The trees are made of privet/hedge and the branches are drilled for sea grass inserts, when painted they are sprayed a few times with watered down PVA/unibond/white wood glue ,they are a bit delicate in the wrong hands.
Cheers AL
-
Looks amazing Al. Looking forward to getting some games in on that!
-
holy shitballs that is amazing :-* :-* :-*

Hi the road and river are sections I have more that on the table so lots of options with straights 90 degree 45 degree etc in both sizes.the snow on the river edges is sand.
Everything lifts off the cloth.
Snow is either sand painted white , cans of white acrylic car primer, woodland scenics snow scatter.
Yes 1/48th
-
Sweet, very sweet terrain.
Love it.
-
Simply beautiful! Very inspirational. Thanks for posting. /Mattias

We are seeing a lot of splendid tables in this forum, but I guess you are still one of the very best. It's not splending it is amazing like each of your creations that I have seen. The level of details, the feeling of realistic terrain ... breathtaking !
How much time a creation like this takes you ?

Because I lack words to describe the table, I'm just going to quote a legendary officer who fought in the Ardennes:
Nuts.
-
Really really inspiring!
I think I shall delve into this era once again not too soon.
-
Was lucky to spend a few minutes discussing the Gettysburg table being reused for ECW by AL and his chaps at Warfare recently...truly a labour of love and thing of beauty. Thanks for the i for and the photos you showed me on your phone...Roo

-
Very effective. Well done 8)
I'm halfway through Beevor's new book on the Ardennes campaign. Riveting stuff. And horribly brutal.
-
Excellent table.
I am slowing working on a snow table for a retreat from Moscow game.
Of course I plan to use it for the Ardennes.
When and if I get it done.
Thanks for sharing.

Stunning!
Each figure is a mini diorama on it's own with those bases.

Quick question: Where is that building behind them from...?
I can think of many uses for that.
:D
-
Sweet lord this is absolutely amazing! :-*
I join Mason in regards to the building! It looks very nice!
