If anyone else has played the PC game Banner Saga you'll probably be as excited as me to hear that this is being made into a tabletop board game.
It's being run by Megacon games (previously Mercsminis, Mercs, Myth). I'm pretty excited. The game has kind of a Viking look to it. I'm hoping the gameplay will be similar to the game as the game was very strategic and didn't involve any dice rolls (can't quite remember though).
here's more info and some pics http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2015-11-05-banner-saga-board-game-warbands-takes-to-kickstarter-next-week
Even if you are only after some cool Stone Golem type minis it will fit your bill.

I really need to finish The Banner Saga game, it gets hard (and annoying) towards the end, though! :(
-
Yeah. Also it doesn't really finish at the end of the game and just leaves it like the end of book 1 of a series of books.

And it's up. Funded already
$80 for box and stretch goals. $200 for box stretch goals and all the addons.

I like the game (might fire it up later this afternoon) and I love the way they did the game...love the art. But, sadly I really dislike the design of the bad guys. They look like cheesy 1980's automatons or something.
As such, there will have to be some pretty awesome stuff in that game for me to bother with.

It's got vikings, which piques my interest. But, at the moment, it looks a very pale copy of Blood Rage, which is unfortunate. Will keep an eye on it.

It's really nothing like Blood Rage (assuming the boardgame is very similar to the PC game, which is the vibe I got from their video). Totally different storyline, and I like that you get the big fellas...but I don't know if the gorgeous game art will really translate to the tabletop.
For a brilliant PC game you can pick up on sale for $5-10 on Steam...it'd be really hard to justify $80-200 unless the miniatures are fantastic.

Beautiful game and would love to get my hand on those Varls and perhaps a couple of dreges but not really interested in getting the boardgame at all.
Hopefully they'll get available separate in the future.

Saw that earlier, looks promising :)
Hope they release the bigger Dredge once seperatly, would like to get me some.
Have started a while ago converting me some Varl, have all the bits to built some smaller Dregde but am still looking for the bigger ones ;)

combat system looks like a load of pants, really just trading blows. looks terrible, i appreciate it's designed for speed so you can get trough them quickly, still looks pants.
