For some unknown reason I love these post war conflicts in which the various European countries try to keep their empires together. I've got quite a collection of stuff for Indochina and now I'm thinking of moving on to the Indonesian War of Independance but there doesn't seem to be a lot that i can find on uniforms and equipment for both sides. I do see a lot of what looks like that reversible camo the Marines wore on Tarawa and then passed off to the French and other allied countries but not much else. Can anyone fill me in a little on what both sides wore and fought with and maybe some appropriate figure ranges in 28mm?

Might be able to use some USMC from just about any Pacific war range for the Dutch. Or even British/Indian troops would work for the bingeing of the conflict.
Still waiting for some one to make some actually Korean war figures but that is my own thing. lol
Now I don't really know how to represent the Indonesian troops though. Need to see some photos of them, to get an idea of their uniforms (if any) and kit.

The documentary I linked to is a veritable goldmine of pictures and footage.
Lots of sharpened sticks during the early Bersiap period it looks like. Sharpened sticks...
