Title: Anyone make a rowing boat in 15mm?
Post by: Rob_bresnen on November 13, 2015, 12:36:41 PM
I have just found a range of 15mm sailors for Napoleonic wars and wondered if anyone makes 15mm scale whaler boats like the on in this picture?

(Hi John!).

The model boat  builders have some suitable craft in their ranges. Otherwise JB has nailed it.

Rob, there is one very similar to that in the Minifigs Napoleonic range - I have a few.  And it comes with crew.  Maybe you can buy one without crew, though.  It is metal, not resin or plaster.  Or was last I bought one.  You can also look to Old Glory Shipyard for something similar without crew.

Old Glory has several small craft that may fit your requirements.

I've got two of the Minifigs boats, they are quite nice. Here's an image from one of our games:

Peter Pig also makes a rowing boat in 15mm: http://www.peterpig.co.uk/page10.html (http://www.peterpig.co.uk/page10.html)

And then there are model ships which look alright but are not waterlined: http://www.cornwallmodelboats.co.uk/acatalog/amati_boats_oars.html (http://www.cornwallmodelboats.co.uk/acatalog/amati_boats_oars.html)

Cheers
