Hello all!
I love playing Strange Aeons but am pretty lazy when it comes to the administrative tasks of the game. Specifically when it comes to designing Lurker lists. I made a web page that will generate a random Threshold or Lurker list based on points. Please note that the page is completely random and can produce some odd situations. My plan was to generate the list and then customize if it doesn't make sense.

Please let me know if there are any major bugs or if you have any improvements.
Thanks,
Pete

This is super awesome! Thanks!

I can get Threshold lists, but I cannot get Lurker lists.

There is a drop down to change the list from Threshold to Lurker. It is located under the point select box. What browser are you using? I have tested it in IE and Chrome.

This should go up on Uncle Mike's Worldwide on a resource page! Great concept, came up with some weird results but as you said adjust as needed. Great job!

I use Firefox browzer.
I selected the Lurker from the drop down menu.
As I mentioned, the Threshold worked fine.

@Lembit,
That's the information I needed. I will try to take a look at it today. Firefox always has to implement something differently.
@Styx,
Thanks! The only non random part in list creation is some weighing of the Threshold results. It was producing too many children in the lists. So for my favorite lurker list that it has produced has been a Mad Scientist with an axe and three severed limbs.

Fantastic idea! Using Firefox 42.0 on Windows 10 I managed to get it to generate a few random lists, then it got stuck on the same list for a few attempts and then started randomising them again.
The Lurker lists had the same issue in Microsoft Edge, but the threshold lists didn't have the same issue.
Would it be good to put a limitation on how much equipment it gives one person in the generator? I had one list generate a 2 figure list consisting of a Character and Civilian sidekick. The sidekick had a bow, short bow, pistol, blowpipe and an axe (plus something else that I can't remember off the top of my head). The Character had a club ;)

Very cool idea. Thanks for sharing.

Hey everyone,
I made some more changes. You now have the option to custom select the composition of your Lurker list. You want nothing but aliens? You got it! I also added logic to control the lurker type based on plot point selection to maximize the plot point. This will override your custom settings.
I also put a cap on weapons for the Threshold agents although if there are spare points, the algorithm will dump it into weapons for the characters.
Thanks for the feedback,
Pete
