Was most excellent. :D

Oops, meant to watch this. Thanks for reminding me!
-
Thanks for the tip, looks fun!
edit: Just watched the first episode and looks to be a quality show.

What a great series this was. All of the stories were told in an interesting and non-condescending way, unlike a lot of BBC history documentaries.
-
For figures in 28mm look at Outpost Wargames Service

Those look really nice! Blue Moon Manufacturing (http://www.bluemoonmanufacturing.com/index.php?cat_id=11) has suitable stuff too.
-
I've got no idea about ranges but I quite enjoyed this little series of documentaries.... except when he started singing! Ouch!! ;D
Darrell.

Enjoyed this as well. The Outpost figures are really nice too.

I would have loved to see the series as I am into both highwaymen and pirates. Unfortunately it was not available to non-UK residents. Any idea if it will be available on DVD or something?
Also, regarding the Outpost Wargames Highwaymen I can concur: They are great! This is (part of) my collection (http://cianty-tabletop.blogspot.com/2014/02/more-gierburg-citizens.html) (painted by the awesome Simon Bradley (https://www.facebook.com/Stone-Cold-Lead-Figure-Painting-1002207576472922/))

Yeah, the singing was terrible.

. What a lovely set of figures, your collection is superb.

As long as not one of those mini's is singing dodgy folk songs about being an Outlaw then they look brilliant from where I'm sitting!!
:-* :-* :-*

Before they're inevitably taken down, you can see them on Youtube:

That layout is sensational - some of the best terrain and figure painting and also very atmospheric.

Agreed! So much atmosphere in that photo. It's the kind of thing that reminds me that good-looking miniatures and good-looking terrain are always a worthy pursuit in the end. Once all the pieces are in place, you have an immersive world to enjoy - in this case, a world of 18th century roguish adventure in a beautifully drab milieu of taverns and quaysides.

Thanks a lot, guys!
I wish there were more suitable minis for a highwaymen setting. Although the Outpost Wargames range is quite large.
Also, I guess for a 18th century setting other buildings than those medieval timer-framed ones would be in order.

Still available on BBC Iplayer

Great looking minis. Hang the lot of em - scoundrels and vagabonds...
