Title: Minerva, 15mm

This is the Belgian Minerva armoured car (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minerva_Armored_Car). It was not the first, but it was one of the earliest armoured cars, and it was pretty primitive — pretty much just an open-topped steel box on a strengthened touring car chassis. The crew is quite exposed, especially when operating the machine gun.

The model is 1:100 (15mm) scale, from Peter Pig (http://peterpig.co.uk/). The number painted on the side is there just to break up the blankness a bit; I don't really know much about the markings used on the actual vehicles. Since it's destined for Imaginaristan "Back of Beyond" skirmish gaming and not a museum diorama, that really doesn't matter a great deal.

Again, lovely painting. I didn't know Peter Pig even made this one.

It's a shame that Peter Pig don't seem to be keen on modelling spoked wheels though. They're such a distinctive feature of these early vehicles.

I suppose I could try making some myself.... maybe.
