Title: Black Ops - First Play Through
Post by: john_savage_uk on 13 December 2015, 11:27:34 PM
Had the opportunity to play a couple of games using the new Osprey "Black Ops" ruleset last week.  Full run through on my blog:

In short these are a very good set of rules.  The stealth rules are excellent and we had a couple of cracking games.  Highly recommended if you have any interest in modern games.

Lovely looking table.  :D And a great AAR, thanks for sharing.

I'm intending to give these rules a try in the new year using them for early WW2 commando raids and resistance actions in occupied France.

Thanks Ray

I think they would work well for WW2 commando raids.  We are looking to do some WW1 games next year (100 years since the Somme etc) and thought Black Ops would work well for trench raids as well.

In fact with a bit of imagination the stealth rules could be quite easily adapted to most periods.

Good idea. I hadn't even considered trench raids.  :)
