Title: Pulp Alley -- Tips Challenge Card
Post by: d phipps on 20 December 2015, 01:24:38 AM
One of the new resources we are playtesting for Pulp Alley is called a "Tips Challenge":

Tips Challenge — Before the start of a scenario, you may select one "Tips Challenge" in the same way you would buy/select other resource bonuses. When you buy a Tips Challenge, you must also select one of your own characters and draw/attempt a random challenge from the top of the Fortune deck. The pass/fail results of this roll vary by card. See the example below....

So instead of small fixed bonuses, you get a randomized gamble chance for a bigger bonuses?

Hm!

The Tips Challenges can add a bit of a fun back-story to the scenario. They only cost one point and they are pretty fun to use.  :D :D :D :D

Yes, that too.

I think Dave was soliciting suggestions for something just like this a while ago, so it's interesting to see where you guys went with these ideas.
