Paul this is fascinating news. I'm glad you're going to have a steady employment (don't forget about Lon)

Is Warlord the company making those multi part plastic 28mm kits?

Yep.
Well done, Paul & Si. Onwards and upwards.

to Simon & Paul (and the BAM team),
Thank you very much for your fantastic work during all these years.

Good to hear! One thing though, the article mentions John Stallard as one of the heads of Warlord Games. Does this mean it is a covert subsidiary of GW (last thing I heard, Stallard still held a director´s post at GW)? ;)
-
John Stallard is not a director of GW and has not been for quite some time. Warlord Games is not linked in anyway with Games Workshop.
Just to clear that up

Great! I was really afraid this was the beginning of "Gleichschaltung" for the historical market as well. It has been quite some time since I last read a GW corporate report, so in all probability my fault, sorry.

Well all the best to Warlord and everyone else involved
I've met Paul Sawyer and the rest of the chaps at Warlord games a few times and am sure they'll take BAM forward in a good direction, and it also gives Paul H a chance to get on with the WWI figures for Musketeer ;)
*right I'm off to get some popcorn, and will sit back and watch all the baying hounds on TMP rip this news apart*

Cheers to the BAM crew for all the hard work over the last few years, I've got plenty of your stuff and I've always been pleased with the great quality models and super service.
The Warlord games folks seems like a good crew, so it looks like the company is passing into another good pair of hands.
Does this mean we could get some casting/sculpting crossover, Paul doing some miniatures for the Roman Warlord range maybe, or plastic WWII infantry?

I think Paul has already done some sculpting for Warlord already (unless I'm thinking of something else :) )

Thanks for the countless hours of enjoyment you have given us, Paul and Simon.
All the best for the new BAM and Warlord Games.

I think doing that for the historical market would be like herding cats or discovering hen's teeth. ;D
