New project new thread!
I ike Frostgrave. And a buddy of mine was digging up the old Blizzard pass from D&D recently so we decided to play some Dragon Rampant in that setting.
So it was just a question of time until I get my first warband miniatures together.
I am planning to make all the basic soldiers from the FG book. Just I really want them to be female with 'no-nonesense' armour and weapns, but still with a certain Fantasy feeling to them.
Anyway - the Paladin got released as a linmited edition during the last KS and the very positive reactions reassured me that this is going to be a great project.

I hope you like them. :--)

Those are very nice indeed. Does Adelheid carry her broken archway with her everywhere she goes? ;)

Of course she does. She's from Germany after all.
-
Beautiful sensible sculpts, great to see proper gear and armour on them.
-
I like those a lot.
-
Excellent work!
-
Those look wonderful!
Will Gertraud and Shakira be one-piece castings? To my untrained eye they look difficult to mould.

No clue yet. I think it depends If I do them in resin or metal really.

Really cool, all my thumbs are up!
-
Looking really good!
-
Hot dang! Awesome minis! :-* Great depictions of sensible women being awesome in a fantasy setting.
When's the Kickstarter? ;)
-
Thanks everybody!
When's the Kickstarter? ;)
Soon after the last parcel from the current KS has been sent. ;--)
-
Cool stuff, looking forward to see what more comes from this.
-
Very nice. Really trying to hold onto my cash at the moment though.
-
Really nice figures!
-
Like what everyone else said, those look great. Nice to see females clad in clothing/armour. Running around in a fur bikini is not always practical :)

Excellent! Can't wait...
Will we be seeing more variation in body types? (Not that I'm complaining, they all look good and are well sculpted, but all the previews minis seem to fall in the tall and lanky type. I can totally understand that the sculptor needed a change after the small towns worth of short and chubby he's been sculpting for the Halfmen project, tough. :) )
-
Wow this is excellent!
Gertraud is exactly what I am looking for, I like the pose and the armour a lot! All in all really characterful female miniatures! Can't wait for that kickstarter...
Please make them in metal ::) Maybe? Kind sir? ;D
-
these look stunning indeed!!!!!!
-
I like where this is going, count me in!
Would we be able to combine shipping of this new KS with orders from your shop? I'd like to grab some Halfmen as well.

Thanks!
I guess that's possible. :--)
That said does it really depend on how many people pledge. I am currently digging through the 400 backers of the Halfmen KS and seriously, it's like another job on top of my day job.

Ooh.
How'd he get that tiny knife into the thief's hand, and get it to stay there?[/jelly]

The Girls look BEAUTIFUL & suitably bundled up against the cold. OUTSTANDING WORK!

COOL IDEA! Just add a bunch of little legs & feet AND The Arch could follow her around like Terry Pratchett's Luggage.

There will be a fair mix. I might even throw some other races in.

You sure know how to make giving you money attractive... :D

By the way, what was the paladin figure you referred to? Pics?

I really waned the paladin from that kickstarter, as I also expressed, only that there really was no way that I was able to afford it at that point of time (It was a very reasonable price, but I just could not justify more hobby expenses at that point), so I am super happy to see these! They look as great as I imagined they were going to, and I cant wait to get my hands on some of them.
(A side note - Should some one end up with a spare version of that paladin..... )
-
I don't have any particular need/use for these at the moment but I would be very tempted to pick them up just for the joy of painting them. Especially that last one.
-
Never par taken in a KS, if I did, it would be this one, very nice minis and subject.
-
Love the Woman at Arms, but there's something about the Barbarian that just doesn't 'fit' in my eyes. I can't be any more descriptive sorry!
-
No need to be sorry! Taste differs. :--)
-
I was sorry that I couldn't provide better constructive feedback, not that I didn't like the mini ;)
It could just be the ridiculously high collar? It just seems impractical and makes the model unbalanced. Having said that, I quite like the rest of the figure now I've gone back and studied it on the big screen.

Thank you for the feedback.
The idea behind that model was some sort of Nubian palace guard, and we didn't want to make something that was the usual 'noble savage' nonesense but we still wanted her to be recognizable as inspired by east African garb in a cold weather setting. (Rastas and the Feather collar seemed suitable).
-
I think she's cool :)
-
Excellent offerings per usual. I see most of the girls have more of a longish face. I presume some other facial features will show with other miniatures (rounded, wide, angular, broad)? I really like the variety these miniatures will provide, given that most female miniatures feature only one 'type' of facial features.

I'll be in on this one for sure....
What about that Bob Olley evil tree...? (Figured I'd pester you again about it!)
-
As if I needed more figures for Frostgrave ::) Ahh who am I kidding, at this point it basically exists so I have an excuse to buy nice fantasy figures. lol

Yeah, I guess I'll really have to release him eventually. I have a couple more strange goodies that I might throw in...
