Hi guys,
Frostgrave has been nominated in 4 of the 8 categories for Beasts of War's annual awards - best game, best expansion (Thaw of the Lich Lord), best model kit (Frostgrave cultists) and best artwork.
Nominations were voted for by the public and were spread across many different companies so this is a great achievement by Joe, Dmitri(?), Osprey and Northstar. Congrats.
Voting for the winners in each category is a painless process. Just head over to beastsofwar.com (http://beastsofwar.com)
Best of luck guys :)

Voted. Forgot about that Battle Systems Fantasy Dungeon...
OT for this thread: Anyone have their battlemat? How is it quality wise?
-
Done and done. And the chance to win something? Double awesome!
-
Voted the full Frostgrave ticket. :D
-
Popped my votes in.
I especially would love to see the artwork win, as I utterly love it, if posters were available I'd be all over it. Just super super nice.
-
Got right on it. Here's hoping frostgrave wins.
-
They have my vote :-)
-
FG got my vote in all categories it was entered for except the model one - sorry, Kingdom Death took that for me.
-
I voted for FG!
-
So today Beasts of War are revealing the 4 finalists out of the 10 shortlisted in each category...
and...
Frostgrave so far is a finalist in 2 of the 3 revealed categories:
Best Miniatures Game
and
Best Model Kit (cultists)
Great news so far. Let's hope they win. Winners will be revealed tomorrow night.
-
Breaking news!
Frostgrave has also made it as a finalist in the other 2 categories it was shortlisted in:
Best Artwork (yay!)
and Best Game Expansion
That's a clean sweep - 4 out of 4.
Grats to Joe, Osprey, NorthStar and Dmitri.
Fingers crossed that FG wins some of those categories tomorrow.
-
Congrats to all for the nominations. That in itself is a major achievement. Here's hoping for a few more.
-
If I were a betting man I'd probably back the GW big baddie in the model category and FFG's Twin Shadows for best expansion, with Frostgrave having a very good shout in the best minis game and best artwork categories.
-
Well sadly Frostgrave didn't win in the Best Model Kit, Best Artwork or Best Game Expansion categories though just making it through as finalists was brilliant.
However, in the Blue Ribband category of Best Miniatures Game 2015 the overall winner was...
Frostgrave
hurrah!
Great achievement and congrats Joe.
Even more good news is that Beasts of War are looking to do some Frostgrave coverage this year so Joe, Smith and Nick get in touch with them!
-
Excellent! Congratulations Joe :)
-
Gratz Joe.....Frostgrave is a winner!!! :-*
-
Congratulations! Well deserved!
-
Well done. Should have won the artwork one as well but Best game is probably the best award to win. Congrats all round.
= )
-
Congrats Joe and everyone else involved in the game.
-
Thanks for all the nice comments, guys (and, I'm sure, for voting for Frostgrave too!). Joe and Dmitry (he may not have got the nod in the artwork category, but the game as a whole wouldn't be the same without him) really deserve it!

We have been - for some time!
-
Such great news. Well deserved.
-
Frostgrave bootcamp???? lol lol lol lol lol
-
Many thanks guys. It's been a pretty wild nine months since the game came out. While it is always great to get recognized, it is especially nice to win an award that was voted for by the gaming public. Thanks to everyone who took the time to vote.
-
I'll admit I didn't get chance to vote but this is very well deserved!
-
Very well deserved. Well done to all involved
-
Fantastic to see Frostgrave win this award, given that companies like GW seemed to be sweeping up (which I suppose reflects the general tastes of the Bow members) I didn't hold up much hope but I guess I shows how much the community have taken to Frostgrave. It really is a fabulously fun game. Well done to all involved.
-
I don't want to get all 'Oscars Acceptance' speech here, lol, but I'd like to give a special mention to Kev Dallimore. Kev Dallimore (with help from Dave Woodward) painted all the miniatures in the book, then composed and took all the photographs. I think he did a splendid job.
-
Huzzah and bravo to all involved! A well deserved win for a game that has got me back into fantasy :D
-
Sorry for the necro, but just seen this post on Joe's blog:
"Dmitry Burmak, who has painted all of the artwork for Frostgrave, created this little piece to celebrate Frostgrave's win in the Beasts of War awards! Thanks for everything, Dmitry!"
