Title: [COMMERCIAL] MORE New Iron Duke mutineers packs
Post by: Paul @ Empress Miniatures on 02 February 2016, 08:19:06 AM
Iron Duke have just released four new packs of Mutineer infantry and these are available in our Iron Duke store now. Rendered with fantastic character as you'd expect, each pack represents the next step in the Duke's plan to provide collectors and wargamers with absolutely the most comprehensive, considered and accurate Indian Mutiny range available.

We have just added no less than eight new packs of Bengal Native Infantry mutineers to the Iron Duke Indian Mutiny store! Stunning sculpts by the ever-talented Mr Hicks we at Empress really don't think it gets much better than this! All of these are ready to add to your collection now, but in the meantime we'll just let the pictures do the talking. Enjoy!

I pre-ordered these from Vapnartak (York Show) and I wasn't to be disappointed with the high standard and dynamics of the sculpts. Not to mention that none of the 13 packs I ordered had any duplicates!!! Amazing really.  8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

DAMN YOU SIR! >:(

You are singlehandedly forcing me to get personally involved in the mutiny!

Seriously Paul, I have had exceptionaly high expectations of your work since I first discovered it, and you always exceed expectations!

Do you have a spare room? I may need someplace to stay when my wife finds out I'm thinking of starting another period. ;)

Simply incredible! You have surpassed yourself yet again sir!  :D

The Badmashes probably won't be out until 2017 if the latest Iron Duke bulletin is anything to go by. Post-Salute, Mike Snook and Paul Hicks plan to focus on cavalry, horse-drawn artillery, casualties and mounted command with a few odds and ends thrown in for good measure :

Yeah, looks like a bit of a wait for a lot of stuff...I'm keen to see some Brits in curtained peaked shako  and shell jacket - I fancy painting some of the 60th rifles in their Delhi kit plus 95th foot (or similar) their red shell jackets, but looks like 2017 at the very earliest for models that would suffice for those. I also want to do some Probyn's or Hodgson's horse for my cavalry... Still, plenty to enjoy in the meantime though, as I ordered £200 worth of stuff yesterday which will take a while to paint!!!!  :o :o :D

According to the Iron Duke bulletins linked above, the Allahabad mobile column and its mutineer opponent are the first phase of the range and should effectively be done by Christmas 2016. If Mike and Paul stick to their initial plan, they will then move to the siege of Delhi and save the relief of Lucknow for last.

Because of all the variations I find myself in the very odd position of having to go through all the packs on the website with mini's bags in hand to check what I have bought and what I have not!

Not that I'm complaining- this range is well, just excellent!

Very exited about the new releases!

Okay guys... I really like the minis, but no very little about the mutiny. I already have many projects, so why should I start an Indian Mutiny project? What makes it different to other colonial conflicts? Why are you guys during this project?

If you haven't already then I recommend a visit to the Duke's own website -

http://www.irondukeminiatures.co.uk

There's a lot of info and flavour on there, including the developers thoughts on which point in the Mutiny they decided to start the range.

What Keith said.

Mike Snook outlines the campaigns during the Indian Mutiny which the range is specifically designed for.

Colorful characters on both sides. Everything from parade ground uniforms to dirty uniforms worn for a year. Skirmish level up to field battle sized actions. City fighting and sieges. Elephants. The question for me is what's not to like?
