Left one; cooling tower of sorts, or perhaps a communications array. Right one; simple mud-hut? ;)
-
well no bunker city lol

So cool! I may
shamelessly copy pay tribute to that idea!!
-
They look great! Those mini level atmospheric shots are perfect! :-*
So darn simple, but the paintjobs, the detailing with "objects" posters and flags make it look lived in 8)
Cheers

Looks great! Very inspirational.
-
Brilliant ;D
-
this idea in my head for a long time.
So I started to make one, then two, then three ... it's really easy to build, the pots being styrene are easy to paste, and any recovery is for example the doors made of plastic packaging.
Then look in your cupboards and refrigerator and if your wife asks what you do meet him, "I am building a post-apocalyptic setting" lol lol

I love using trash to make stuff Yogurt containers make great tower bases. I used this one for the 2013 trash bash contest.

Very nice, I agree - the painting has really brought these to life.
-
So much great stuff in this thread (that reminds of what I loved most about Rogue Trader and the famous deodorant bottle vehicle.)
-
Beautiful,
lol , the rat in the "potable" water.
A very atmospheric city :-*
Made with a soviet flavour and Bulgar yogurt? :)
Best regards

Very good and very clever ;D
-
BRILLIANT! Such simple basic shapes mate, again turned into really interesting builds. Each side of the building has little details which tell a story. Very cool.
Cheers

Very nice work.
I've often thought that some of the structures made from one main kind of castoff look a bit samey, but by making a "bunker town" you've embraced that samey-ness and made it work for you as an asset. And of course there's the brilliant greebling/conversion work you've done.

"I'll trade you this scavenged pre war shirt and broken pot, for that water bottle."
I bet you tell good stories Duhamel. That scene is filled with little back stories.
Do you make up a story as you build it? Do you imagine yourself there in your terrain as you build it?
Cheers
Matt

A slow oscillation between jealousy and admiration: every single one of these diorama (I cannot call them just terrain pieces) perfectly capture the flavour of a dying world and remind me of Stalker (the film).
A feast for the eyes, merci for those pictures, and please encore plus! :-*
Cheers

Loving it!

:-* :-* brilliant!
I like the wires with knock ons, clearly some junker has taste ;) Your chipping looks really good to, nicely done.
Perhaps a small tarp over the cupola entry? It would help hide the insides, unless your planning to put a man in there ;)
Cheers
Matt.

First of all thank you for your comment
yes it is weird that the inside is as white flash but I plan to place a pilot
-
Well, that should cover it nicely then :D
You could do both, that way there is an occupied version and an empty version for skirmish purposes ;)
Cheers
Matt
-
Really like what you've done here. :)
-
Here a whole city bunker view, there is still some space on the game board.
the game is pretty simple as it is to involve children based on the excavation of the buildings much like HeroQuest in his time

C'est archi-beau le gars!

-
Just saw it now ! Awesome stuff !!
What kind of rule/game do you play on this board ?
Superbe, je vais regarder d'un peu plus près les pots de yaourts de mes fils :P
-
Pretty awesome board you have yourself there. :)
-
Wow. Some great ideas you have with these pieces. I'm always amazed when I see what some folks can make out of odd pieces of stuff.
-
Brilliant bit of junk modelling!
:-* :-*
All the added details really bring it all together to make a wonderful layout.
8) 8)
Must have cost a bloody fortune, though.....
;D
-
That's sooooo cooool!
I might actually copy... I mean... DYI myself that. Very nice.
-
I missed this somehow. Very clever modeling but the painting really is what makes this work for me :-* :-* :-* Just great work!

Best regards
