Hello,
we are playing our 1st Frostgrave game next weekend so I have been putting togeather my warband
warband
gold spent 450 gold remaining 50
1, wizard - Witch
2, apprentice
3, archer
4, archer
5, javelineer
6, javelineer
7, javelineer
8, javelineer
9, javelineer
10, javelineer
spells
Fog
Mud
Curse
Summon Demon
Telekinesis
Bone Dart
Push
Shield
Only one offencive spell the rest are defencive and utillity
The aim is to get a inn and add a kennel and two rookies then add a dog and two crow masters going to max warband size.
and advice please ?

My advice ... grab the treasure chests and RUN! Don't get bogged down in combat or shooting, just grab the loot and run. = )

My only advice is to not worry about warband compisition, but concentrate on havng fun :D
Lots of cheap soldiers in your band, so easily replaceable if they die!

interesting choice to go with a totally missile lead warband - personally I would swap out at least two of the troops and have a couple of heavy fighters to defend your Wizard and apprentice.
Much clearly depends on the LOS on your table. If it is very close and terrain heavy Missile units tend to become less useful.
The games we have been playing recently have been increasingly focussed on taking out the enemy wizard. To counter this I have started actively using Wizard Eye so my boss can safely hide out of site and still throw spells..

I'm not sure how attached to your spell selection you are but I'd go with brew potion all day over curse or mud. Not only does it give utility of having extra hands from demon in a bottle but if you don't use it it becomes an extra 100gc on average every game.
