Hi folks,
I thought I'd make a thread with my WIP stuff.. in no particular order.
I'm currently trying to finish a christmas scenario for my gaming group.
30 russians and t-34 will take on Santa and his compatriots aided by a weinachtspanzer.
Here is the status so far:

Some christmas forests to fight in are also taking shape:

Other than that I'm doing some Post Apocalypse terrain to game with a friend:
I figure that religion will be having a renaissance in a shattered world, so I got these religious statues made in resin (for holidays I think - being an atheist I'm oblivious).

And my favourite:

Blurry included because I had a mini there...
Hope they'll look great when painted. Don't know if it'll be bronze or concrete.. What do you think?!
-
Great idea with the statues - I especially like the cherubs.
I´d go for concrete with abundant moss. It would be post-religious-revival in a post-apocalyptic world. When all hope was abandoned :)
-
Hmm.. not sure about the moss. I've seen some examples that weren't too pretty! If I can make it not stand out too much maybe there'll be some. I just think green moss hurts the eye in a PA setting.
I guess I don't really know a good way to do moss!? Any suggestions!?
The statue that's tipped over should be concrete I think. I'm sooooo in doubt about the rest.
I could see the cherubs completely oxydized with pigeon turd all over though... But a really dark pre-oxydated brass would also be nice. The other "city" terrain I have is severely damaged from war. In fact it's ruins. Got a 7 story building with two sides blown off completely which is kind of the centerpiece.

Apparently, Silflor has now released 1mm tufts which are useable for clumps of moss. There's a brief note about them on the Antenociti's Workshop site.

Updates on the projects:
The horrible evil edifices of the satanic being known as Santa Claws are coming to life:
Obviously the canes are made from the grinded bones of santas enemies and painted with their blood. He keeps their souls in the small boxes that are scattered over the place.
Lastly work has begun on the portal to that takes Santa from his nightmare world to the world of the living:

In the PA department I took a stand and went with bronze for the angels - they're not near done yet as they obviously need some weathering and oxydation!
I have washed them with a new GW wash (black somethingsomething) as it has both black and matt medium in it (apparantly). Thought the matt would give them a more worn look. Next up is some emerald washing and white turding.

I also managed to make a few wrecked cars by the aluminium foil method.. which you've probably all heard to death.
Lastly one of the madonnas is coming along nicely too. Think it'll be nice to fight in and around when it's done.
-
Got some ACW 6mm Irregular Miniatures rebased for use with They Couldn't Hit An Elephant - new rules just out of Too Fat Lardies
(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v404/clovermilk/acw/ting024.jpg)
They're small, ugly and small... but at 1,5 meters I think it looks ok.

Ogre for my scruntian slave train

Nice lighting effect on the fireplace. I couldn't pull it off when I tried the same effect. May I suggest that you paint the dog a different color though - perhaps white with black spots?
-
These are all WIP's as mentioned in the first post.
When stuff is finished, I will post in one of the forums that fit. (ie. the scrunts will soon appear in future warts)

I *think* that robot is a CHAS unit from Mongoose´ Starship Troopers, but could you tell me where that multi-eyed monster is from?

Hehe no! I'll make a challenge - first one to guess (Phoenikuz is disqualified) where the bug is from gets an OOP citadel Orc/goblin thing.
-
The eye monster is probably from some boardgame, I don't think it is in the Doom boardgame...
Give us some hints...

I just bought these and they're getting a shabby paintjob.
This savage warrior has gotten more paint on him too... blinded as he is, the tribe's shaman induces him with clear vision so that he may render his foe asunder (or whatever the proper dramatic english gibberish would be).

close up of the head... I tried to make the impression (with GS) that the eyes were popped out... for no particular reason.

Oooohhh... Desert Scorpions 8)

Dunno... I actually think they'll be the cliché "black scorpions" - enforcing the law wherever they get paid to do it. lol
