We thought it was about time we showed you the command of the forthcoming plastic box set of British Infantry 1877-85. There will be two of these frames in the box. The figures have quite a few arm more options than shown here and a choice of covered helmets for Indian service or just pugrees so they could potentially be used in Sudan. The box cover is another stunning piece by Peter Dennis and depicts the 66th's last stand at the Battle of Maiwand in 1880. The command and main infantry frame are in tooling at the moment but we can't be exactly sure of their release date although they are due out next. They are 28mm and made by Michael.

With greaves and slouch hats I can convert them into early 20th c. Portuguese colonial infantry.  :D

Is it worth having two threads covering the same topic?   ??? ??? ??? :)

But this thread has the box art too...

and if there are 2 threads we have a reason for buying twice as many boxes

These Perry twins are just evil. I don't need these figures. I don't really game much in 28mm. If I do this era I will do it in 10mm. I don't need these figures.

But I want them. One look at the box and the greens and I want them.

I don't need these figures.

How many times do I need to repeat that to convince myself.

A plastic doggie! Finally  :D

They are sumptuous.

It seems two threads were started on the same topic at almost exactly the same time. Unfortunately, the 'merge thread' tool in the forum software doesn't work.
It would seem invidious to lock one or the other, as they are both running with comments already  8)

But Plynkes is Colonial moderator, so he may exercise the judgement of Solomon in due course  ;)

Not to nitpick but didn't Solomon judge to have the baby cut in two? So by that logic are we to have four seperate threads?  :o

I think both joroas and I had the same idea at the same time! I've no problem with the other thread being locked, it was only to highlight the fact that some new greens where on show and we are all discussing it now so job done!  :D
