This week, my good friend Mike 'Trouble at T'Mill' Whitaker and I resurrected the Dux Britanniarum campaign we last played in late 2012!! We soon got back into it and had such fun we wondered why we stopped playing in the first place!!
Here's a link to mine and Mike's blogs and our respective narratives of the action...

Right on!! I really, really like this set of rules. But I need to stay focused on my GoT/Dragon Rampant project.
Good news is my Chain of Command gaming buddy Nick is stockpiling miniatures and scenery for this.
Thanks for sharing!

Good to hear! I really like the in-character narration of the updates, it really adds to the whole effect. :)

Thank you! :D We hope to play at least once a month through the rest of this year...

Great report and very pretty terrain too.
I wondered after reading the rules why I am not seeing them featured more often - they seam to be great little set with very coo campaign mechanic.
This milieu is totally exotic to my and my wargaming but while reading I had strange Urge to defend England from the evil Saxons, and saw great potential for subjugating of Wendic Slavs.
For British wargaming it looks like must have and jet not very popular.

They are excellent for a campaign set up, but personally I think the actual battle rules are the weakest element. Don't get me wrong, they are quite adequate, but lack a certain something I can't define.
That aside still more than worth the money. :)

Great looking game!
Really enjoyed the write-up.
I have been trying to get my local group to play more Dux Brit., but they are all heavily invested in Saga right now.
Cheers!

We find that, when playing the raid scenarios, the rules are great and well balanced. When we actually fight a 'pitched battle', it has thus far been less satisfying, but that may be because in the battles I have been utterly destroyed each time.

Great looking figs and terrain, do like the rules very much, agree with guitarheroandy, the raid scenarios are great, I might even finish my Irish one day to fight the Britons
