Lands Of Ruin is now live on Kickstarter
It will be running for the next 18 days
I have been following this one closely as I am liking the idea of the tablet taking care of the mundane tasks during gameplay, I have downloaded the "beta" version of the command app and it seems fairly easy to use and navigate around it. I have not yet tried a full 2 player game yet, but will hopefully sometime this week.
The renders of the miniatures look outstanding especially the Baleans, I could imagine they would be good for a number of games systems outside of Lands Of Ruin, as would the Reclaimers
Just like you could use the Lands Of Ruin miniatures with other systems, you can use any mini you own already and make your own heroes and cohorts
There are a variety of pledges on offer, ranging from just £17EB/£19 Digital Pack – £80EB/£95 XL Miniatures Pack – £450 Lifetime Benefactor, with a few pledges inbetween.
"Lands of Ruin is a post-apocalypse tabletop wargame. However, it is not just another run-of-the-mill clone of every other game on the market. This next generation tabletop game utilises the recent advances in mobile technology to bring a more realistic, faster paced, and deeper gaming experience to the already mature tabletop wargaming genre."*
"The battlefield is not empty. Players' tribes confront remnants of the final war in the form of automated drones, decaying battle mechs still executing their wartime orders, and hordes of infected dead, all controlled by the companion app's A.I."*
"Previously in wargaming, hidden characters and secret actions were not so hidden or secret. Minis had to be placed on the tabletop, and secret actions declared in order to keep things fair. LoR allows players to have hidden characters in play without their opponents knowing they are there, as well as perform actions that the opponent doesn't know about. Imagine a hidden sniper waiting to ambush the opponent. This is all tracked and kept fair through the Command Console tablet app."*
"Characters gain experience and skills as well as obtain new equipment during battles."*
"In Lands of Ruin, the wastelands are populated by tribes. These unique and diverse cultures represent the different factions or alignments players join when they play the game. Each tribe has its own beliefs and goals, as well as fighting style and technologies."*
"Lands of Ruin is fully playable with just two heroes and their cohorts. However, adding more heroes to your tribe adds variety to the gameplay."*

It's not even four years old. I've not met an 'ap' yet it won't run. Until now.
Still, thanks for following up on this. Hope they can code for compatibility. It will only help them down the line.

They have now been funded with 8 days left to reach the first stretch goal of a new tribe called the "Outlanders".
They have also updated the app on Google Play to support Android 4.0+, so it will work on the older devices.

I noticed on the Lands Of Ruin Facebook page, just as their Kickstarter launched that they were looking for some people to review the first run of Malcibur and his cohorts, so I jumped at the chance to get a set to review for my forum posts and blog and lucky enough I got a set, so here goes...
Like I already mentioned I got Malcibur and his three cohorts, they are "true scale" 28mm sculpted miniatures cast in resin. They are nice casts and sculpts with next to no mold lines, the sculpts are also really faithful to the renders, all the details that are in the renders, are on the minis.
Malcibur:
The details on him are nice, for weapons he has in his right hand an electrified tri-dent and in his left hand is a heavy duty chain with some sort of gun on his wrist. He is dressed in body armour from head-to-foot with extra handcuffs and a big pouch on his chain belt, on his chest there is what looks like the detonator for exploding his cohorts!
The cohorts:
All three of the cohorts are nicely detailed, each one is restrained by either chains, handcuffs or my favourite a straight jacket and strapped to them front and back are a bunch of C4 sticks. All the clothes worn by them are all ragged and torn, also each one has been gagged and has had a detonating receiver fitted to them so they are ready to explode!

Thanks for that scale shot, makes me less worried the minis will be either to short or too tall for my existing collection. Mulciber is my favorite of the lot, I'm planning on painting him in Caesar's Legion-esque colors and using him as a Slave Hunter, (counts-as-Bounty Hunter), in my TNT games.

No worries, sounds cool my favourite is Androphage and his cohorts i can see them in a few different post-apoc games, Malciburs cohorts are really cool though.

"His name means “Eater of Men,” and he has gorged himself on many a victim in times of scarcity."
"Thanatos takes his name from the ancient personification of Death."
