Title: How far off are Maccabean Jews and Jewish Revolt?

Well apart from 40 years.

If I have found some Maccabeans, they'd work against Hollywood Channing Tatum Segmenta Lorica Romans, eh?

Probably not very far apart, I'd have thought.   Thureos shields in the former and perhaps the latter.  Some captured Roman gear in the latter, or kit locally made to imitate Roman gear.
