Well, I say "elite" because I plan to use them as Elite Foot in Dragon Rampant. They're some of the lovely old Imperial Dwarves sculpted by the Perry brothers for GW back in the 1980s. Lots of fun to paint, and with a colour scheme inspired by Wayne England (RIP).

Now I just want to paint more of them!

Great stuff! I particularly like the full helms.
-
Thanks! Although I have to admit that painting the eyes on those with visible faces was a large part of my pride in this little bunch lol
-
Great work, really vibrant colours.
I've got a couple of these figures and they are great. I do particularly like the one with the two handed sword.
-
Very nice indeed
-
Very nice. I really like the shield design as that nice clean diamond pattern on the cloak.
-
Every time I see some of these fine old lads with some fresh paint on, my heart is filled. First with joy; they're such very fine lads. Then with chagrin, as I remember that we'll never see any more.
-
Excellent ... love them. Especially the diamant-pattern
-
They are a superb group.
For me they came from the golden age of GW dwarves.
-
Thank you, all, I was rather pleased with how they turned out.
I'm working on some allies (Copplestone halflings who will become a Light Infantry w/mixed weapons unit) and foes (luvverly 80s Harboth's orc archers to be scouts) now. Once I've got them done I think I'll turn this into a general Dragon Rampant/fantasy painting thread for my figures.

Thanks, there'll be more classic 80s miniatures soon :)

Bleedin' gorgeous!

Some of my favourite figures of all time.
In fact, these are amongst the Dwarves that I have kept hold of and will have to get around to painting again one day (I did so back in the 80's when they first came out).

I have also just got hold of Dragon Rampant and have high hopes for it as it seems popular.
I assume that you would recommend it?

Lovely stuff. Some great figures and you've really nailed the Wayne England look. His Dwarf army were my favourite out of the old White Dwarfs. Beautiful work.

OH BABY! Of course, I like Dwarfs also; they work SO well as foils for the Goblins.

Yes, absolutely. I've had great fun with it already, with a couple of write-ups on my blog (http://geeklydigest.blogspot.co.uk/search/label/Dragon%20Rampant), if you're interested.
