Impressive ! Great work :-*
Wich paint are used !?
-
Thank you.
I mainly used the Japanese acrylic "Tamiya". Excellent choice of colors on era of "Khaki", excellent quality. It can be used for work with the airbrush. A good paint, but to work with it as a solvent, it is desirable to use .... diluted water with vodka :)
Bright colored details (buttonholes on the collar, band ist he standard bearer and metallics) - "Citadel".

These really do look good Cuprum...I have been looking at your site and am very interested in this period...could you please say which Tamiya khaki/s you used just to get me prepared before I buy ?

The main color I used for uniforms XF-49 Khaki:

For greatcoats and shadows on the uniform I used XF-51 Khaki Drab:

For lighting XF-57 Buff:

For deep shadows XF-69 NATO Black:

Thankyou for sharing that information Cuprum....very helpful....now after I order the paint I must also remember to buy some Vodka...for dilution ;)
-
In fact, a solvent for paints "Tamiya" - isopropyl alcohol. But this is a big bottle of 250 ml. For my needs it pretty much besides he quickly evaporates. This solvent is good for working with the airbrush. Is an experimental way - was found variant diluting of paints a dilute vodka (or alcohol). In this case, the paint dries more slowly and does not lose its properties.

This is very interesting....I use Vallejo Airbrush thinner with my paint because water breaks down the paint too much...but...like you say it can evaporate quickly...I will try your technique....if it does not work for me with paint it is always vodka :D
...and I look forward to ordering some of your excellent figures very soon
