Hey, guys, I'm just curious to see if anyone would be interested in a website design to allow finding miniatures from any retailer. Similar to Reaper's figure finder but cross company and probably not quite as bad. lol

Not sure I get it....what would the search filters be? What I would really want is a database cross referencing designers and figure manufacturers, ie Paul Hicks sculpts are all over the place!

Search filters could be anything from "futuristic" to who the designer is. Quite easy to take multiple of these, as well.
The real problem would be getting miniature producers to give me a full comma delimited spreadsheet to read in to the database itself.

I guess to keep it updated would be a pain as well...good idea though ;)

Honestly not that big a problem. :p Very easily automatable, at least if planned for.
I could get a database knocked up within a few days and a few PHP scripts knocked up in a week or so.
It's just I have no idea how to integrate search forms into PHP scripts, which is a ridiculous hole in my knowledge that I am now ashamed about and must rectify. :-X

Unless I'm missing something, SoL is very barebones and is base HTML.
As an example of basic functionality, I'm saying you could put in a sculptor name and a genre and get every miniature ever done by them in that genre, including basic unpainted / painted images.

Sounds good to me.
The extension is to be able to compare the different figures but then might be tricky.
