Here are a few pictures of the command set of our new Late Roman unarmoured legionaries.
this is a joint venture between me and Paul Hicks.
Paul receives money from every sale so the more we sell the more figures for the range will be released.
Paul has scaled the figures against Gripping beast so they match in height, they are slightly slimmer in heft also the shields are the same size as Gripping beast so the LBM transfers for the GB figures will fit them.

Very nice looking figures, sound as if they will mix well with the Musketeer/Footsore range too, look forward to the release.

Those are really nice. Hopefully there will also be some to follow with really heavy armour- greaves et al- this is a real gap in the Late Roman ranges.

That would be good, would make a change from the plethora of Intercisa types.

Looking good, especially since late Romans will be the next force I'll start on.
I do hope there'll be armoured foot archers, since there doesn't seem to be anyone who makes them armoured :D

While I know we here at Lead Adventure get overzealous in supporting every sculpt in the world (regardless of how bad!) these are top-quality looking stuff! Really crisp and smooth designs. I've got zero use for them, but those are really well done!

The joy of metal. :D Honestly, very nice miniatures, great attention to detail. Particularly like the officer's domed helmet – best rendition of the real thing in 28mm I've seen so far.
Speaking of detail – and to complement the call for (more heavily) armoured types – those 'loose fit' trousers are most likely either derived from post-Roman depictions or a widespread 'reenactorism'. In fact, in contemporary art Late Romans are predominantly sporting 'tights'. Perhaps a convention, but it could be done, given the right material and methods. Baggy trousers are the lazy man's fashion. ;)

As much as I appreciate your better knowledge Doc, I definItely vote against men in tights :o
Historical accuracy is all fine and nice and such, but sometimes one has to put look before accuracy ;)

I only recently decided to start a late Roman army and it seems, with all the new offerings, that I'm starting at just the right time. They seem to be the flavour of the month and I have to say that these little folks are some of the best I've seen so far.

Define post-Roman...
Trousers aren't necessarily incorrect and loose fit "Gothic pants" were in style, along with Persian versions, in addition to tights. My problem is with the raised clavi and orbiculi on these figures and on the Gripping Beast plastics: it'll be a PTA to file off and should've been provided as transfers. One thing Ebor got right is the absence of leg wrappings/puttees, in contrast with Gripping Beast plastics. I'm not suggesting a soldier wouldn't use them, but not every figure in the boxed set, and this usually associated with agricultural work/peasantry. It's not a big deal, though tedious to file 'em off in addition to the aforementioned stuff on the GB figures, though with head swaps and greenstuff boots, one could use them for later East Romans.
The guy on the right is of a centurion chasing away a civilian, since the latter lacks a military belt:

My unit arrived yesterday. Really nice and animated sculpts, they mix really well with Footsore and GB. And they arrived just in time, I'm finishing up one of my comentatenses and they're the missing lanceriarii. I'm very satisfied.

Would be nice to see some Huns, including a personality figure of a certain well-known barbarian king.
