Okay, I've decided I need to add one last - one last! - unit to my French and Indian War collection.
And it will be on the British side.
I currently have the 44th, the 60th - in campaign dress, regular grenadiers, regular light infantry, blue coated provincials, green coated provincials, highland grenadiers, regular highlanders, rangers, an independent unit, and militia.
That's eleven companies (or battalions if I prefer) with each unit roughly 42 figures. While planning a convention game, I realized one more unit adds good balance to the collection.
But what unit? And why? Remember, this unit will be on the British side.
Appreciate constructive input.
(for those interested there are nine units for the French and seven "units" of natives - and plenty of civilians, too)

Have you thought about a unit of loyal natives for the British. The did have some native allies.

Yep, Mohawks perhaps?

You pretty much have most covered unless you add another unit of what you already have. 42nd Black Watch Highlanders for Battle of Ticonderoga or 78th Fraser Highlanders for Quebec. Even the Louisbourg Grenadiers with their 3 types of facings. I love the North Star Highlanders as they do them in the Light Infantry gear wear they switched the short kilt and jacket and wore native leggings.

If failing these if go for the Iroquois Mohawk Natives. Always handy to have some guys in the trees taking pop shots at officers.

Well, I have the highlanders covered already, my grenadiers will work for the Louisburg ones, and those indians for the french will be available to switch sides just as they did during the actual conflict (pretty regularly and on slim whims). I was really hoping to add another regular unit or perhaps another provincial unit. Based on that, further thoughts?

35th Regiment of Foot (Otway’s) who where at Fort William Henry,Louisbourg and Plains of Abraham. Tawney facings. They broke the line of the Royal Roussillon
Regiment and captured their Colours.

47th Regiment of Foot (Lacelles’) who were in the Centre at Plains of Abraham next to Frasers and 58th foot. They also have white facings so will mix it up from what you already have on the other two units.

Thanks for the input. I've decided to add a hunting shirt wearing provincial unit, brown theme color.
Not sure if it is accurate for the era but that is what I'm going to do - and use Peter Pig AWI figures, regulars in hunting shirt and militia command in hunting shirts plus the American mounted generals - looks like one in a hunting shirt - and horseholder pack for the empty horse I'll need (I use one mounted and one dismounted officer stand for certain units, this one included) and dead figures. Since this is the mounted/dismounted command style unit, I need a total of 49 figures including two horses, one mounted, one standing riderless, and the four casualty figures.
This is good since I'm already working on a Peter Pig order for some other items.
Sorry, Major General, your figures are beautiful but bank breakers and maybe even shelf breakers for my "little" collection. My FIW collection will top out above 1,800 figures once all are painted - except for this unit all are bought already and a pretty good portion already painted and virtually all already owned painted except for maybe a score of boat crews.
