Title: Rebellion of 1463, Lion Rampant AAR

I just had to air my Medieval swedish collection some time ago so I put on a small Lion Rampant game for me and my Son David.

Instead of counting minis in each unit we counted bases of minis, so a Foot Serjant unit had 12 bases of 4 minis each, 48 minis in a unit. This way of using the Lion rampant rules works fine if you are a bit forgiving about movement etc.

For the game we used just 12 point retinues but still we managed to field about 140 foot and 15 mounted minis on the table. I lured David in to commanding the Danes and I took the heroic Swedish rebells ;)

You can read a bit about our game and see more pictures at my blog. (http://dalauppror.blogspot.se/2016/03/rebellion-of-1463-aar.html)

Best regards Michael

I rather like your natural looking banners - how do you make them? Great looking game.

Great looking game and AAR!  :)

Oh... that's a bit clever. For casualties do you remove whole bases too? I have been flirting with a way to make Lion Rampant bigger, food for thought, thank you!

Thank you all

Indeed we remove whole bases, not any major changes than using one base equal one mini in the rules as usual.

regarding my banners I have 2 different tutorials at my blog about how I make my handpainted linnen banneers.
