Title: Laser cut acrylic hex bases?
Post by: Connectamabob on 04 March 2016, 09:58:19 PM
Looking for some clear acrylic hexes to use as bases for space ship minis. Fenris used to have them, but the laser cut acrylic section of their shop is completely empty now.

Did some google searching, but was unable to find anything that wasn't either those injection molded hex dome flying bases, or that didn't have an oversized pre-drilled mounting hole.

Anyone know where I can find some of these?

Litko base maker will allow you to make hex bases of different thickness.

CorSex Engineering's Omni-Stand system has a hex shape for their bases.

Thanks for the suggestions!

The Oshiro site doesn't appear to have a working cart system yet. Nothing is clickable on the catalog pages, and there's no "how to buy" info I can find.

CorSec's Omni-Stands are one of the google hits I rejected for having giant pre-drilled holes. I want to use thin steel or carbon fiber rod to minimize the visual impact of the peg. CoreSec's stands are IMO particularly fugly due to the ginormous metal phone-poles they use.

Litko was one of the google hits I'd gotten, but didn't notice the "base builder". That looks like a winner!
