Title: Question: What dragon miniature is this?
Post by: DragonReborn on March 12, 2016, 07:31:09 PM
Hi forum,

I have trouble identifying this dragon mini. Is it a real tabletop miniature at all?

Thanks a lot

Too easy.  Shadowrun Dunkelzahn miniature from Ral Partha.

Oh hey, Iron Wind still makes him, too.

Wow, your Google-Fu outmatches mine. I've tried countless variations of "Dragon Pointing", etc. I looked through lots of old catalogs. However, I would never have placed this dragon in the ShadowRun corner. I'll have to ponder if I want to keep him. I don't have too many SR minis to go with....

Many thanks!

It's easier when you've painted the mini in the past, which I have.  I'm an old gamer and still remember when Grenadier still had the SR license rather than those Johnny-Come-Latelies at Partha.  :)

The Grenadier SR dragons (especially the Eastern one) were a little better than poor Dunkelzahn, but he does have a unique and somewhat interesting pose going for him.  And he was President at one point in the storyline, IIRC.  So there's that.

Bonus points if you can find a Trump figure for him to be intimidating in a debate diorama.

Why doesn't anyone make a Trump figure, come to think of it?
