Hi all,
I'm aiming to do a Ukrainian UNR army this year for Setting the East ablaze and I'd appreciate any help on figure choices.
So far I have narrowed down the following figures.
Bluecoats - I have these from Scheltrum so not a problem
Sich - Again Scheltrum have these. I know the site is down but I buy from Sholto at shows anyway so I hope to catch him at Carronade in May.
Naval troops - Copplestone Castings red sailors will be fine - I can have one group as "standard" uniform and the other as the "Black" uniform.
Tchanka. Scheltrum again. I posted elsewhere a build of it on the forum.
Stormtroopers - they did have ex German army troops so Renegade can supply these. I can add some SMG's as well.
I have a train, tanks and an armoured car so no need for anything else.
So far so easy. I was thinking a mixture of Ragged White Russians and partisans from Copplestone to bulk the army out but are these accurate enough. Or would for some more infantry some Cossacks from Foundry do? The uniforms were just bizarre in 1918 at times.

I can swap out the weapons for something more appropriate such as a Mauser Pistol etc. And tone down the paint jobs.
As for cavalry; Copplestone Cavalry - but which ones? White or Red?
Any and all suggestions appreciated.

Will need to take cavalry in the Caucasian uniform from Copplestone and sculpt in the fur hat a characteristic "shlyk" (which hangs Cloth bottom hats).

Thanks Cuprum. Would your Cossak infantry be able to be modified in a similar fashion?
-
Yes of course. But keep in mind that this uniform is typical only for cavalry units.

Great info as always Cuprum.

Infantry UNR can be made of red/white infantry.
Ukrainian infantrymen often wore uniforms russian sample with a trident on his sleeve and Ukrainian insignia:

But cap prefer - British sample.

Wonderful. Thanks Cuprum. I'm also finding your forum very useful.
