I've been repainting the Xwing miniatures, and as usual I'm making my own decals for a few models. I've actually drawn out quite a few, so I thought I'd ask here if this is something folks would be interested in.
And if so, what other decals would you like?
As a thank you for your input and suggestions, I'll post an LAF only code to give all LAF readers a discount once these are available.
Here's what I have so far. Pretty much Rogue squadron, and some scum and villainy sets.

Y-wing 'y' for the cockpit, there's red circles for the b-wings and some lightning style ones for the phantom as it's coming out of cloak mode.
cheers

Nice idea. What about some decals for the lambda shuttle? I know there doesn't seem to be much in the way of canon images showing markings but an Imperial logo would look great on the centre foil or on the wings.

Excellent stuff! :D

Ah, I already have Imperial and rebel decals for 28mm infantry. I can easily repurpose those.
Ok, version 2 with Y wing sets, and more details for the shuttles:

There is at least one person on the Fantasy Flight forum and/or BGG who has done engine glow labels/stickers for all the big ships: Decimator, both YT freighters, lambda, etc. Those could provide inspiration, or perhaps just ask the guy if you could use them?
I think I saw another person who was doing all the markings like you have for Red 2, Red 3, Red 5, etc. But like ALL the markings - so you could effectively just base coat an X-Wing and wrap these around it. Maybe you should find that guy too. :)
Black Sun is good. Do the Hutt Cartels have anything like that?
Ace/kill markings. Can you print this small?
Nosecone/pinup icons. There's one in particular for Azzameen, I think it's a Firespray (the Andrasta?). There's also one of the unique Scum-faction Z-95's (N'Dru maybe?) with a hotrod-type paint job. And Kath Scarlet's gang has some pretty intricate markings.
Hazard stripes and checker patterns are generally useful. I guess I could say the same about racing stripes or other 'generic' squad markings. You know, because someone might want to make Fuchsia Squadron or whatever.

These can print very very small, assuming it's one color for lettering, etc. Like all our decals, these are printed with a opaque white ink first so these will lay over any base color on the ship. The only thing is you would need to use a decal softener to make them mold around any edges or panels. Pretty much like standard decals.
I'm not sure I'd do wraps..as these would really be for doing the things that are a pain for most folks to paint. But if more extensive sets were wanted, I could do them. Checkered markings, weathered racing stripes, etc are great ideas! I'll do some.
I'm going to redo the engine glows a bit so you can see some of the underling engine mechanics. I'll be basing those of movie stills. I'll print these out to test, but still looks a little cartoony to me.

Further refinement. I like these engine glows better. I'll need to do some research on expanded Universe iconography for a generic sheet of those as well.

I'll need to do some research on expanded Universe.
Have fun jumping down that rabbit hole.

I like the shuttle decals a lot!
