Title: 15th century casualty models?
Post by: Charlie_ on March 20, 2016, 11:36:46 PM
I'm looking for more 15th century casualty models.

I have this fantastic set from the Perrys (haven't painted it yet).

I will also try my hand at converting some casualties from the Perry plastic kits. I've done one already.

I've also found this one from Front Rank, looks nice enough....

And then there is this fro Old Glory.... Quite why they are incapable of providing proper images of their models is completely beyond me. Surely it's bad for business. If anyone has this set or knows of some real pictures, I'd love to look at it more closely!

Does anyone else know of any other good sculpts for 15th century casualties?

Also, what about horse casualties that would fit the era?

I have the Old Glory set, and have used the figures from it for many years.  It's not bad at all.  I'll see if I have any pics and post them if I do.  I also have the other sets you listed, and especially like the Front Rank figures, which have a lot of character IMHO.  Two more possibilities are the Men-At-Arms and Infantry casualty sets from the Perry Agincourt to Orleans range., as pictured here:

Possibly a bit early for what you have in mind, but Claymore has a quite jolly "Death of Douglas" casualty pack

That sounds promising. Any pics would be great!

Here are 3 pics which I think show all of the contents of the Old Glory 15th Century casualty pack:

...and my own version of the Front Rank casualty pack, who as I said above IMHO have a lot of character/pain & suffering in their faces:

Ah, they do look rather  nice!

That's very useful, thanks.

I think I'll add both of them to my shopping list.
