Could not agree more!
-
I cannot chose both are so wonderful!
-
Good God :o :-*
Michael - that wolf :-*
And so many Bosch-like delights - and a cast of thousands! (Alex, you are fast becoming the Cecil B deMille of the LPL lol)
-
I do believe that this could be my hardest choice in all the LPL o_o
Sublime work from the pair of you :-* :-* :-*
cheers
James
-
Awww, man, I can't choose on this one! They're both just brilliant! :-*
-
Behold, the winners of this competition ;).
I voted for the top one, simply because I like that painting style better. O.b.o. quality is think it's impossible to choose.
-
That wolf is amazing! :o I can also feel him breathing down my neck!
Alex- wonderful scene! Did you paint ALL of them just for this one entry?
-
We need an abstain vote.
How am I meant to pick?!
-
Two more excellent scenic entries from great figure painters. A joy to behold. :)
-
No fair....
Really, if the vote is less than a few percentage points between... we need a do over!
That wolf is in a class of its own...
And there is so much going on in the Freaks Carnival, that you miss just how incredibly detailed each piece is...
-
I think those frequent rushes of masses in Witchtown should not be overrated ... 8) :D
No, really, absolutely fantastic scene, Alex, I love it! And what better use of those Eureka miniatures. I didn't buy them as I couldn't imagine any good use, but Witchtown is a fantastic home for them. :-*
Seems I need to work on my own fantastic town setting ... ;D
-
I give up!!!
-
Apparently the Prof has been preparing for this LPL years in advance.
-
Impossible choice. I'll just toss a coin.
-
Two superb entries !!! :-* :-* .... difficult to choose .... o_o .... Give me 2 votes please.....

This is a really tough one.
-
Michael, congrats to this amazing photo, everything is perfect on that scene, the setting, the darker background, the vikings and finally this unbelievably well painted grey wolf, the real eyecatcher!!

Thanks, Michael, the Eureka miniatures are very lovely, I only can recommend them. And a must-have in a fantastic town setting :)
Alex- wonderful scene! Did you paint ALL of them just for this one entry?
Of course not all of them :) But all the freaks and the pigs, so 14 newly painted figures in this entry. The spectators are previously painted.

I've started back in December and I managed to keep the focus on the LPL teams over almost all the months since then :)
-
Congratulations gentlemen, these entries are both stunning
-
Two fantastic works, very hard to make a decision.
-
This is like "Clash of the Titans" I know I'm not alone in saying this, but it's damn tough choice to make.
Brilliant entries :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*
-
Simply amazing
-
I don't normally bother to comment on the Painting League submissions (assume an all-round 'great job!').
But this paring is really really close. Both brilliant. I'm thinking Carnival on volume alone which isn't a good tipping point at all. Kudos to both painters. Brilliant. Not happy.
-
This really is a most difficult choice. Both entries are equally brilliant.
In the end I ended up with the vikings because they are vikings.
-
This time I have to say sorry to Michael. The 12 points go to the Prof thsi time. But I did it with a bleeding heart. Two brilliant entries.
-
The freakiest thing is how only the two pigs seem to be looking to camera....its like they know you are there!
-
Two amazing entries gents
One so full of vibrancy and carnival and the other brooding with that fabulous wolf giving it real menace - choosing was difficult
Who makes the wolf?
-
Difficult decision o_o

Difficult decision o_o
It is not difficult - its next to impossible! While all participants in the competition deserve kudos for taking part; having been a photographer/picture editor/creative director in many cases judging entries, while feeling a responsibility, usually is not so agonising. Every now and then, one gets a pair that are, for sure different, but equally talented. I would prefer a draw in such cases, but I do not make the rules. It is a competition so I felt obliged to vote in this and some previous cases; I am also happy I don't 'know' anyone so I can be neutral of any favour to any side.
On the positive side its great to see the bar being set ever and ever high, that hopefully will inspire evermore creative work. Also it has made me return many times to the thread to grab some eye candy. Both have something to be proud to display.
