Title: Black Powder Napoleonic Army Lists?
Post by: ShinRa on 07 April 2016, 10:08:56 PM
Hi all,

Is anyone aware of Napoleonic army lists for Black Powder? With the apparent popularity of the game I would have thought that all the participants would have been covered by now, but Warlord so far appear to have just followed the British (and those rules look very generous for the redcoats to me...).

I know that Black Powder is a 'do it yourself' ruleset with this stuff but I'm always interested in how others represent the character of the armies in their games.

There is a third book close? It focuses on the Russian campaign and Leipzig. That will have everybody covered.

Ady is supposedly close to having it done. If you email Paul at Warlord, he might give you some more details...

Albion Triumphant covers British, French, Spanish plus British allies ie Portuguese, KGL and Brunswick all obviously Peninsula biased. Albion Triumphant 2 covers those needed for 100 day campaign AFIK and the next one rumoured should cover the other central European powers other than that it's just adjust the base rule values to suit your understanding of individual national characteristics.

Tony.

The Spanyards get quite a bad rep, but they fought well under good leadership, such as Blake and, perhaps, la Romana.

As Uncle Bill said, 'There are no bad regiments, there are only bad officers.'  ;)
