Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
Having only recently discovered the joys of 'IHMN' I am completely bowled over by the natty concept of 'Skirmishing Companies'. Personally I would truly like to see a Company based around an Old Girls Association. A sort of St Trinians with crazed Games Mistress, Retired Chemistry teacher, Head girl, Prefects and members of the Lacrosse team as doughty warriors. So far they only exist in my mind Another company that came to mind was that of a secret society of Gentlemen's gentlemen. Somewhat nefarious, with inside information regarding the hiding places of prized jewels, state secrets etc. I offer such thoughts for your consideration. The Game's afoot ! Huzzah !

We have TINSEL in our games. The International Society of Exploring Ladies.
Without their bold inquisitiveness, many parties of adventurers of the sterner sex, would not have gained the glory and prestige won by rescuing them from their ensuing dangerous predicaments!
Footnote
By the early 2000’s research into TINSEL had revealed that they were in fact an international subversive body intent on world domination. The true reading of the Initials was The Insider Network of Significantly Elite Ladies.
They played a part in establishing Queen Ranavalona III in power in Madagascar They backed first Tzu His, Empress and effective ruler of China in the last quarter of the nineteenth century. But she spurned her supporters so TINSEL turned to Ch’iu Chin who led a province in revolt against the Empress.
However it was the European members who had the most success establishing an Empire under which the sun never set! Their leader being of course Queen Victoria, Empress of India!
In later years they became fragmented campaigning for the prohibition of alcohol, female suffrage and other crusades. They may have been involved in the establishment of the Regency of Zauditu, Empress of Abyssinia, Queen of Kings and Lioness of Judah in 1916.

Bravo - the very spirit of Victorian adventuring (and not a corset in sight !)
-
Only a cad would get to see their corsets, and talk about it.
A gentleman wouldn't mention their unmentionables in the first place. :~}
-
What can I say, unsafe in railway cars.

A bow armed Victorian lady assassin as "Part of the Crowd"? Could be deadly!
