Hi all,
Here are my lastest efforts toward actually playing a few games of Space Hulk (1st ed) sometime in the near future. I have finally finished a squad of Terminators and look forward to getting them on the table. I went for a non-conformist colorscheme or quartered Blue and Orange just to avoid the "bagage" that seems to come with all the modern interpretations of the Space Marine chapters. Here are a few "studio Shots" followed by a couple of Action shots and one I doctored up with a fun App on the iPad.
As always more blathering on my Blog: http://bluesmarauders.blogspot.com/
Enjoy!
Cheers,

They look great. I loved these terminators. Still have a bunch of them too. Great to see them in a space ship setting too. Is that card?

Wow! You've done those great figures justice! :-*

Lovely work Chris :-* :-*

Very nice - stunning colours. 8) 8) 8)

Absolutely lovely work! :-*
Your paint scheme is great too. My old DIY chapter was orange with blue as well; they're a great and eyecatching combination of complementary colours. Any intention of giving them a chapter symbol?
I really love the last picture with the effects too; a perfect, atmospheric shot of those man-turtles in action against everybody's favourite grim-dark insectile aliens.
Between your metals and the 1st ed Space Hulk plastic Termies posted here some time ago, it's getting harder and harder to resist the pull of some retro terminator project of my own... ;)

I really love those old genestealer so as well. Although they were multiparty but with only one pose, they still seemed to look like a ravenous horde.

I think that is the BattleSystems (http://shop.battlesystems.co.uk/sci-fi-modular-terrain-2-c.asp) SF set. I nearly backed that Kickstarter and have nearly bought the product a few time ;D (I have backed their post apoc scenery project, which should turn up in June/July this year)

These are tremendously inspirational. I love how you made them stand out. Great work!
-
Thanks all! Your encouragement means a lot!
Yes...this is battle systems terrain. Somewhat fiddly to put together the first time but it looks good when you get it on the table.
Btw...the stealers I bought painted and am really happy with them...and with the fact that I don't have to paint 18
Of the same model! ;)

Another great example of how Sedition Wars was an amazing basing kit. :D

Aren't those Champ Industries bases?

Aren't those Champ Industries bases?
Might be, if so they're super similar. Were those the plastics that were sold through Aberrant games for a while? I've got a stack of those somewhere too.
-
Those terminators are fantastic... Old School done right :-* :o
Are you going to add any decals/markings to them?
-
Yes these are the plastic bases from Champ Industries...wonderful "tech" bases and dirt cheap...I only wish they had some other sizes for my Dreds and Ogryns etc.
As to adding markings...I'm leaving that as an option but I'm very indecisive about such things...I also am not great at free hand designs...so if I get inspired...or find the right decal I may revisit these guys in the future. But for now they are ready to hit the hulk table just the way they are.

Those are great. Very pleasant nostalgic vibe to them.

Those are just grand! :-* Excellent painting, it really shows off the charm and quality of these classic sculpts.

Excellent. Those termies are some of the first miniatures I ever painted. Nice to see them painted up right!
