Title: Not sure how to sell Plasticville INNSMOUTH
Post by: Oldben1 on April 11, 2016, 09:20:13 PM
Hello, I'm not sure where to post this.  I've decided to sell my 28mm pulp/Cthulhu miniature stuff.  I haven't used them in 3 years and I need the space.  I want to sell the buildings but have no idea how to price them, whether there would be any interest, and how to ship them.  All 3 buildings are O scale plasticiville, heavily modified and painted by me.  They are all Innsmouth specific, although you could easily change the signs and posters.  You have the Marsh factory, National Grocery, Fire Station, and The 2 storey Gilman House.

I also have a plasticiville barn as well:

I also have a lot of Pulp/Cthulhu figures, painted by STan Johansen and Figouze.  What's the best course of action?  Should I sell them as a lot?

Thanks, Mike

They are wellpainted and I don't think you will have a problem flogging them. Price them individually and as a set (with a minor discount). Shipping costs will be a pain in the behind though, Canada Post ain't cheap (then again, who is these days) and will limit your customer base. Pack them well with plenty of bubblewrap in a roomy box...nothing formfitting or it will get totalled when the cargo carriers use it in their scrimmage line.

Pricewise I can't help, I stopped buying Plasticville stuff 5 years ago and have no idea what it sells for these days.

Tut, tut, this cleary flies in the face of some sorta honourable enterprise.

The topic did even MAKE it to the Bizarre of Obscurities for pity's sake!!!

Deviousity oozed in & and disrupted the transactional process, a deal denied, commerce stillborn...

I'd alert the mods, though I'd be quite surprised if the dash, baksheesh, blutgeld, 'donations', mordida, payola, kumshaw & kickbacks hadn't already greased their palms...  This IS PULP after all...
I fear this over-bold admission of duplicity will fall on deliberately deaf ears, & intentionally averted eyes.

& make NO mistake, I've got me eye on you laddiebuck, you wanna watchit you do...

With all the excitement, perhaps I should be painting Plasticville professionally.  Finally I can give up this petty life of crime.

I'm actually very sad to see them go.  Sniff sniff, maybe I'll change my mind! lol

Yeah but I'd have paid him in DOLLARS, real, jenoowhine 'Murrican cashola...

Not sum furrrin' phunny munnee wif pichers of wimmin n'critters on 'em...

Oh.

Wait.

I seem to have erred...

The currency from Canadia & Mehico tends to confuse me mightily.

Please forgive the jingoistic financial outburst.

But do bite every coin you're sent, your dentist needs the trade.

& My home is every bit as real as the daft Devonian, Mad Lord Hoozeewhatsis's "secret rocket base".

I only have that Post Office Box for security purposes...

Please do send me the pictures & list of the Pulp People available.
I can't promise to be as "generous" as Gary42, but I'm at least fair...

You know, on that day when we finally do host our own Wet-Coast LAF drop-in rendezvous gaming extravaganza, I hope that South Carolina can muster a rapid response contingent to cross (most of) the continent and participate.
