These are going to appear on the OshiroModelTerrain Dorset smugglers display game at Salute this weekend.
I started the carriage about a year ago (ahem) and with the Salute deadline fast approaching I finished it last week lol
Its a Dixon Miniatures Wild West Stage coach with some modifications and a Front Rank Miniatures driver. The colour scheme was taken from an C18th carriage I found on Google.

We decided at the eleventh hour we (I!) needed a Gibbet as we had nothing to dissuade would be pirates, smugglers, sheep thieves and turnip rustlers. So I made this yesterday. Its scratch built from an old GW skellie, some balsa, Stryene strip and some unknown block which I carved to represent stone. All graciously donated and supported by JimBibbly and his Aladins Cave of stuff. :)

Finally a Vegetable patch, Commercially sourced plants (railway model accessories), Cabbages donated by Flags_of_War and other bits and bobs again supplied by JimBibbly. :)

Now I need to get back to the painting table, I am running out of time to finish some other bits and pieces. lol

Wonderful! :-*
Your time spent inside Jimbibblys man cave is proving most productive :D
-
He's wiping me out of materials :o
lol
They will be fine additions to the table :)
cheers
James

I love the vegetable garden, I'll have to try and make one myself.
-
One sight of that gibbet and I would,nt dream of putting my hand on your turnips , oh ! er matron ! lol
-
Very well done.
All the extras will add a lot to the look of the terrain.
You are a better man than I,
have had the Dixon Stage coach for years.
It is still in the box, too much trouble to put together. :(
Finally went with an Old Glory one.

Oh, Nick, have you buildt such a gibbet in big for Mason? I think he would like it... ;)

Very nice Nick. :-*
The Front Rank driver looks particularly good on that wagon and the veggie patch is great.

I wonder why you would say that. ;) lol
They were well received on the Dorset game at Salute. The Gibbet seemed to attract the most attention. lol
-
I observed that there were at least three gibbets on the table... Clearly capital punishment was much in vogue in that corner of Dorset lol

So much turnip rustling going on, the law needed to do something to deter the populace. ;)

Did you played some good games at salute?
