We recently played a game of To the Strongest! at club. This time we wanted to try ranged combat in earnest so we went for the Battle of the Defile in 731 AD, were the Umayyad Caliphate clashed with the Turgesh Khanate in present-day Uzbekistan.

A fun game with a great set of rules - we're now becoming comfortable with TtS!'s fast-play ethos and have also realized that missile combat can be rather effective, after all.

The concluding part of this battle (which in reality lasted for three days) was fought last week. It was a considerably larger fight but still only took about two hours to play.

Good looking game! I just purchased these rules myself, going to do 28mm Westerosi armies with all the lovely Perry plastics. :)
