Some of you have been asking about when the Games Day will be at Bushy Run Battlefield. I'm afraid to say that there will not be one. The Board of Directors for the battlefield has decided to not run this event.

Last year, we had at least 27 people show up for the event, which happened on the rainiest Saturday we had all year. The event made money for the site, all proceeds from the event went to keeping the park open.

Most of the attendees indicated that they would be interested in coming back in the future.
The Board of Directors also voted to remove the interactive diorama from the site.

Sad to hear. Did they give reasons?
-
The official reason is that it didn't make enough money for them. Although they aren't doing anything else with the space that day to make any extra money either though.

The Games Day is back on. A date hasn't been confirmed yet but it will likely be August 20.
-
The Games Day will be taking place on August 20, 2016 starting at 9 a.m.
Please contact me here or email pictors@pictorsstudio.com if you have any questions or want to run a game.

I think that you had better change the title of the opening post then, as it still gives the impression that the event has been cancelled.
;)

I didn't even know we could change the titles. Thanks to whomever did it for me.

I wanted to thank everyone who came out and supported our games day, Con On the Run, at Bushy Run Battlefield.

We had some very fun games being run including the Spanish Civil War and Great Northern War games you can see below.

I'd also like to take a moment to thank our generous sponsors: Old Glory, Kozcon, Uprising Miniatures, Pictors Studio and JKG Miniatures for their prize support for the raffle.
The Con generated valuable revenue that will help keep the site open in the future. The money generated today will pay for the full operational costs of the Heritage Society for two days.

Good news. And lovely photos.
