Just curious to know if anybody have experience with this. I have a bunch of Gripping Beast Sassanids but I like the command group from Aventine. Will they look good size wise if I were to mix them.

Cant help you as i have only Aventine.
But I can show you Aventine Sassanian near GB vikings if no one with better comparison shows up.

Are you asking about infantry or cavalry?
I would say the GB foot are perhaps slightly taller than Aventine, but of similar bulk. If this appears to be a problem you could add a thin spacer to increase the height of the Aventine.
I don't have any GB Sassanid heavy cavalry left and I have never seen the new GB Sassanid HC horses. I do have some LC on Aventine horses. The GB cavalryman might be slightly bulkier than the Aventine, but not by much (although some of this impression of GB bulk may be because shields & archery equipment are all molded on to the GB cavalryman).

I am thinking of the clibinari or cathaphract calvary only. Does any one have pictures?

Both Gripping Beast and
Avantine A&A miniatures is really chunky miniaturures.
I have combined some cavalry miniatures with good results for my Saracens.
You could even mix in Perry even though they have mutch more slender miniatures.
I have no idea about infantry.

I don't see Aventine figures on the two pictures you posted. I do see A&A Palmyrans, also done by Adam Smith. The A&A Palmyrans are chunkier than the current Aventine figures.

Ohh sorry for that... lol
A... darn it. Sorry for the mix up.
