As stated, these were an absolute test of my willpower to finish, and my club decided Napoleonic was better in 6mm....
So I persevered and got them done. They are on Ebay now :(
(shameless pitch)
Other than that I do not profess to be a 'pro' but I am proud of how these turned out.
Painted as 33rd regiment of foot with 95th rifles support.
For all you guys with vast armies of these guys, I have no idea how you can paint so many. These were blood sweat and tears.

I have not put them for international postage. But I may do.
Last time I had a very nasty customer.

Very nice.
-
Looking good :)
-
They might've been a pain in the backside but they look lovely.
-
Cheers for the praise, I hope someone gets some use out of them. I hate the thought of models never getting any trigger time :).
-
I was admiring these on eBay earlier today. They look jolly nice. Perhaps you should persevere as you obviously have a talent for them
-
Very nice and they'll sell. Your words are somewhat daunting though, as I'm just about to start painting this bunch of British
(http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-VOoCWjsrNVA/VXXXKsUH2sI/AAAAAAAAJm4/eyspTBYHeek/s320/IMG_9613.JPG)
These French
(http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-5qg5l6cx69I/VXXXS0D1lnI/AAAAAAAAJnY/iyqUi8Wvr5I/s320/IMG_9617.JPG)
These Portuguese
(http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-qOlVa-xPaiE/VXXXNxqP_mI/AAAAAAAAJnI/_FsHvnx0We4/s320/IMG_9615.JPG)
and another load I bought at Christmas.
At least they are only in 24s with 4 skirmishers to a unit.
C'est la vie!

I was daunted by painting British at first but it did get easier. I do know what you mean though. I have same issue painting hussars - loathe doing them even if they turn out ok (or as OK as my stuff ever turns out).
-
Well done. Considering it clearly wasn't a pleasurable painting experience it doesn't show. They look very good indeed :-*
I sympathise though. I painted a dozen British Napoleonic marines last year - and that was enough for me. All those straps and pouches and buttons and lace. Dear God - it's all so much fuss.
It beats me how anyone manages to paint entire armies of hundreds or thousands of Napoleonics. It would drive me mad.
In fact anything with regimented uniforms - painting the same fiddly detail fifty or a hundred times over - drives me mad ::)
-
It's a shame you're not doing anymore as they are lovely 8)
cheers
James

nice brushwork for sure. :-*
and yep Napoleonics are a pain to get right but worth it.
-
LAST? but you did such nice work. don't stop now.
-
Amazing paint job, chapaeu! Unfortunate change of scale, as these 28mm look amazing.
-
Thanks again. I would say they are probably some of my best work, and I really wanted to keep them on the shelf. But I just bought lots of Perry Agincourt stuff for a GoT Lion Rampant project. Now my wife has dropped the hammer...
-
6mm better? bwhaha, one look at your awesome figures should convince anyone that isn't true
-
apparently the 'amount of men' on the field is more 'realistic'. hmmm.
-
Thats the reason I am doing Napoleonic in 1:1 with 1:600/2mm stuff.
Although that does not stop me from doing it in 28mm too :)
-
A few people on ebay have asked for international shipping, so I have obliged and decided to use ebay global shipment for these guys, if anyone is interested.
-
Blood, sweat and tears but they do look lovely.
-
thank you, will be sad to let them go, but they will fund my next major project :)
-
These are really, really nicely painted! 8)
