Title: The Soldiers of the Queen...
Post by: Harry Faversham on May 05, 2016, 10:27:23 AM
I'm starting to paint my 15mm Blue Moon Afghan/Sudan Campaign British Infantry for TMWWBK. Could anyone give me some advice on painting them? What would be the best shade of Khaki to paint the basic uniforms, as I believe they were a lighter shade than WW2 khaki, and I plan to use either Humbrol or Valejelo paints then a wash of Army Painter dark shade. Any advice would be most appreciated.
???

Buy yourself a spray can of Halfords Khakhi (http://www.halfords.com/motoring/paints-body-repair/specialist-decorative-paints/halfords-camouflage-spray-paint-khaki-300ml). You'll have the whole lot base coated in seconds. The shade is a bit lighter and slightly less "green" (to my eye) than Vallejo English Uniform. Looks fine for my purposes on my NWF 28s.
