Title: A question about Cutlass!

I've been looking for a low model count pirate game for a while and Cutlass! caught my eye, but I can't seem to find a consensus in the reviews I've found. Some say it's great, others that it's merely ok. So I was wondering if anyone here has had experience with it, and if so was good, bad or meh?...

Whilst never having played it (I own the rules etc) it seems a tad over complicated for what it wants to do. Have you considered Legends of The high Seas ?
