Hi all!! I’ve painted a German paras unit in Montecassino with figures of Perry Miniatures(except 2 plastic figures) . I hope you like! :)

World War! Para Time! Excellent! ;)
Rather nice. I'm particularly taken with the Zeltbahn effect.
-
Absolutely superb ! Always a joy to see your work.
I don't suppose you have a reference for the camouflage ?
-
Lovely work Rafa!
-
Another great set of figures, Rafa :-*
-
Amazing work Rafa, :-*, Could u say the colours and the process u use in the "zeltbahn"? Eres un fenómeno!!!
-
Lovely as always Rafa, and what a coincidence I know someone else who has some of these to paint :D
-
Fantastic! The details are amazing. The Camo and insignia are fabulously done.
A battle with which I have a personal interest as my Grandfather was there, different side to these chaps though!

Now look what you've started lol
-
Lovely work!
By the by none of the figures seeming to be wearing zeltbahns, which are tent halves/ ponchos. They are all in various iterations of the standard para knochensäcke (bonesack) smocks.

Yes, you're right, of course. Should have referred to "Buntfarbenmuster", but Zeltbahn is used so often (albeit erroneously) to refer to the camouflage cloth... must have caught it somewhere. :)
-
Excellent!!! :)
-
Oh, they're sweet! 8)
-
Beautiful work as always...would it be possible to see them all together as one unit ?
-
top job ;)
-
Yup, they're wonderful 8)
-
Beautiful paint jobs. They'd really work for any mid-late war Fallschirm the way you've painted them as there is nothing about their kit (at least that I can see) that I see that makes them specific to Monte Cassino. If you'd wanted to do them specifically for that battle you might have added some tropical gear or even some Italian camo. Also, I don't think that would have had any fausts there.
-
Terrific paint jobs, and the basing is especially effective too. I really have to get some of these!
-
Really very nice figures.
Excellent painting.
Would you use them for Crete?
Too nice of figures, not to.
-
Proud to say that these figures were my commission :D Of course I agree with the many compliments paid to Rafa ;D
axabrax - you're right, no panzerfausts at Cassino. But this particular platoon will serve in various places including Normandy. It's one figure you're talking about in any case ;) With regard the summer or tropical gear you really don't see it in the main Cassino fights. Of course the odd guy may have sported his desert field cap or what have you, but I went through dozens of pictures when commissioning Rafa and this was 'the look', especially in the 3rd and 4th battles of Cassino. It was pretty cold during those months and I guess everyone went back to their warmer gear.

Marine0846 - I would very much like to game some Crete actions but I think the uniform buffs will tell you that was a different look, with the green para smocks, no MG42 machine guns and so on. It all depends how particular you are!
-
Hi Eclaireur
You are quite right about the uniforms at Crete and those worn later.
That really does not bother me.
I love Perry figures, like the Paras a lot.
What is one to do, what to pick.
So many great figures. o_o

Many thanks for the comments!!! :)
