Hi, i picked these up the other day and was surprised at how nice most of them came out

(the big photos are a bit harsh on my painting and highlights)
My only dilsike about the set is that one of the two types of left arms is big and goofy looking and you are forced to use at least eight of them
The detail isnt as sharp as on most metals but with a bit of effort i think they paint up nicely
So yeah, they may not be quite as nice as Empress Minis but i feel obliged to recommend them as they are good, cheap and definitely useable figs
cheers for looking,
Sam

Nice work Sam :D I like the expressions you've got on their faces - is that your doing, or something that comes out of the sculpt?
-
Told you. It's all about getting them assembled right. ;)

thanks fellas,
i havent deliberately tried to create expressions on them but just through slight (and mostly not on purpose) variations in each one i paint they all get their own look
these particular faces are pretty flat and their hair and facial hair isnt very textured but they have character, which is more important to me

The rifle looks very short to me.

Very nice job.
I wish they had Home Service uniforms!
